Hence my comment about the race card and the people that use it to advance an agenda in certain situations.

I think it's played too much and I made a comment about it. I made no insinuations about you or your opinion, nor anyone else in particular in this thread.

It was just a comment I made of my opinion that the race card is indeed played too much.

I don't like Cam's antics. I've made that known several times on this forum. However that has nothing to do with his race. Some people can't accept that and most of the people that can't accept that have an agenda.

I think the reason everything went awry with your post and the subsequent arguments is that it lacked ANY context in relation to this thread, CC, to be honest. You didn't quote any post or mention your stance on Cam at all in this context.

Just an "I must be a racist cause I hate Cam" and off the rails it went from there.

Que sera sera, my friend. Have a good night, man.

How could you leave out Mission?!

Birthplace of Tom Landry and my grandfather 1 day apart. They may have been side by side for all I know in 1924. My grandfather passed last February. Mission gets a vote from me.

Perhaps.

My argument in relation to the thread was meant to be implied but I see where you are coming from.

You have a good night as well. No hard feelings.

Good background. My grandfather was born in Mission a day after Tom Landry, and his parents were both dead by the age of 15. He served in WW2 on board the US McCalla destroyer ship, then raised his siblings during and after that time. I am so proud of the life he led. When he died all his war stories left. :(

He had a pet monkey he brought on to the ship, and he told me stories of the problems it caused. Reminds me of Dez Bryant.

He was a great person, and the things he told me about WW2 are irreplaceable. I miss him so much, but now he is re-united with my grandmother, so there is that. But it always amazed me he was born in Mission the day after Tom Landry.

Yeah, my best friend in grade school was born in Mission. I've never been there, myself, but I needed to hop in on the new "debate".

it is obvious you are a Cam hater. Yes he moped and called people out. But give the guy credit for maturing both on and off the field. It is true their defense is good but their offense is # 1 as well. Take your personal opinion of Cam out of it. People kill me.

Plus cam has put the offense on his back. Many times this season their defense gave up leads and Cam drove for the win. He is doing it without his number 1 reciever

I can't stand it even when the Cowboys do it. Make a tackle, act like an idiot. Defend a pass, act like an idiot.

What? Is this the No Fun League?!

No. The fun should come from playing the game.
I've seen the way fans act, it's worse than any player in history. It's a game, have fun. If you don't like a player having fun at your expense, do something about it.

you dont think broncos D can win with man coverage on this team? just curious and like to hear you out on this. your x's and 0's assessment of it that is. panthers have the juice now. first time i saw them play this season was against us, granted it was against us, but they played like a team on a mission than. something extraordinary about that team. i knew it than even if it hurt seeing our qb go down again. almost feels like the 92' cowboys. i feel they are going to be good for awhile assuming cam doesn't get hurt (cause we all know about dual threat qbs in this league)

The only problem with using a lot of man coverage is it's harder to contain cam as a runner. That's one reason they've gotten by with WR's who aren't necessarily great at getting open. When teams have used man coverage cam has made them pay with his legs. I live in charlotte so I hear analysts break down their team every day to and from work.

Yeah their defense struggled at times this year. Their pass rush has picked back up in the playoffs but going in to the playoffs panthers fans biggest concern was that they hadn't been getting much of a pass rush from their front four and their secondary outside of norman is nothing special.

No, no grudge.

I just know crap when I read it and when it stinks to high hell like yours does, it's not hard to recognize. But I reckon it's a good thing that you don't know who I am. It's your world buddy, we all are just living in it.

I'm glad you recognize. :D

As far as you addressing me and my comment, again, to hell with your assumptions. I made a comment which you assumed was directed at you, it wasn't, and you felt compelled to respond. I responded accordingly.

Actually, my assumption is spot on, unless you're prone to illogic. Let me explain since such weighty concepts are beyond you.

I and superoynx were engaged in a discussion about race. I entered because someone said that criticism of Cam Newton has NOTHING to do with race. I said one cannot dismiss race in total although not everyone who criticizes him does so because of his race.

Superoynx and I had a misunderstanding that was quickly resolved.

Then you enter in with your comment about people bringing up race.

Now unless you have a habit of holding a conversation with one group of individuals and then arguing with a different group of individuals on the matter you raised with the first group, then it stands to REASON you were talking to those in this forum. And since I and superoynx were the ones talking about race when you got here, it's LOGICAL to assume you were focused on our conversation, or, in particular, my part of the conversation - which you got wrong anyway.

If you were having a conversation about race with Bob then wouldn't you address Bob rather than Taylor? Wouldn't you make your points on Bob's forum rather than the forum where Taylor is discussing the issue?

It would be NATURAL for Taylor to assume that if you entered a forum where Taylor is discussing race, that you would be talking to Taylor or addressing the issues that Taylor raised, especially if Bob is not in the same forum.

If this is your practice, then you're confused because people don't generally operate in such a fashion. Well, people who understand how logic works, that is. ;) :D
