Logically speaking I would agree but don’t underestimate the ego of Jerry jones.

For whatever reason he doesn’t seem to hold a loyalty to Dak like he does his other stars. If Dak elected to hold out I wouldn’t put it past Jerry one bit to roll with Lance. If it works he’s the smartest man in the world. If it fails he has the excuse of not having a quarterback. I think dak has more to lose in a holdout than Jerry does this year IMO.
When Zeke threatened to hold out we had Pollard here and he still bit. I think he bites. He’s just lucky Dak is who he is. I think if it was up to Jerry this deal would be done. I think Stephen is holding it up.

I've been saying it for years, NFL owners and the NFL are to blame for ever yearly increasing and ridiculous team-crippling QB salaries. They simply refuse to put their foot down and create a salary-limiting team cap % for QBs. Instead, they are allowing QBs to abuse teams' salary caps with no concerns whatsoever to other position players and how it is crippling teams.
I don’t even think it would matter. All that happened was running backs value died out and now that money seems to be going to the other positions. We have wide receivers making 33 million. That jump is far greater than the jump QB salaries have taken.

If Jerry has no intention of bringing Dak back he might as well play Lance.

It probably is. This is what Jerry started. He puts himself and his money first so why would the players not? If Dak was me first he would be sitting out right now like Love did. He really could embarrass Jerry right now. He wants to be a leader but I would force Jerry’s hand if I wanted to be here….but I don’t think Dak does.
Dak admitted the only reason he isn't holding out is because he didn't want to pay the fines. He is absolutely 'me first' and concerned solely about his money

Something needs to get done because it is getting ridiculous with these QBs and their agents being super greedy and having no remorse for the rest of the team.

Nothing will change as the TV deals get bigger. The players love this. Owners don’t seem to have an issue. They only care about losing money.

Regardless of the math, do you really want almost 50% of the cap going to 3 players?

Also, nothing in there shows any evidence of collusion...
I mean if the question is would I rather have a top 10 QB, top 5 WR, and top 3 defensive player, or would I rather have several worse players who are cheaper instead, then I feel Iike that’s an easy question.

While they can’t trade the QB, I’m sure if they want to trade the other 2 plenty of teams would love elite all pro players as those trades tend to work out well for the receiving team.

I am wondering if Mahomes is thinking about re doing his 10 year contract. He is the one guy that has every right to since he has delivered some SB.

First of all, yes, what he’s saying is absolutely true

However, do me a favor and ****. This guy is getting borderline impossible to defend at this point

He also said that last contract was about principle, when Jerry Jones baby-sat him and his garbage play. Remember how Dak looked without “Amari” in his “Dak friendly” offense. 6 game suspension Zeke.. letting Dak play multiple meaningless games to get more work in. Then he cried about his mental health.

Same PR BS when his first words on his contract thus year were at a visit to a children’s hospital..

Now he’s spinning it as “obligation to others”..

Tacky..

People need to realize that a player and his agent colluding is the nature of the beast. What are they supposed to do? Not talk? Just take a wild guess at what each other are thinking?

By default Dak Haters always side with the owners.

I love Jerry Jones....is twitter in human form.
So because I want Dak gone due to the frustration of his post-season failures, I am a hater? If so, what am I then if I actually "hate" ownership and their inability or willingness to do what it takes to win? Find me one post where a fan hates Dak? I actually think he is a very good QB, terrific teammate and he would want nothing more than to be here. The problem is he has shown an inability to win big games, and with the team personnel changing it's time to move on, especially with how his contract demands would hinder the team. GB has moved on from 2 incredible over the last number of years, and found a potential one who may be better than both....it can happen, but the problem is we don't have the brains here to make it come to fruition
