Not sure but they HAVE to charge customers at least the same amount as DirecTV, can't be cheaper.....NFL mandatory. It's the reason Apple dropped out.....they wanted to offer to customers for less but NFL would not allow it. They are concerned about other networks losing viewership. So my guess is the cost will be the same or slightly more BUT way more flexible viewing options/packages.

I hear what you're saying, and I believe I read that as well. But I don't really understand why. Isn't it up to the entity purchasing the rights to determine how they'll make a profit? The NFL would be limiting the buyer's ability for maximum profit. Apple isn't stupid, which is probably why they dropped out.

Really really wish they would have a service that offers you a "pay per view" kind of deal. I wouldn't mind paying 40-50 bucks for each game I watch as I only miss out on about 3 games a year here.

Me too. I actually got the Jacksonville game which surprised me. I never get the 1pm Cowboys games here in NJ. But still, I think it's like 2-3 games every year.

I’m in a suburb of Dallas so if I’m not attending a game, I get the game at home. Otherwise I’ll stick with redzone. The price on YouTube will be bonkers

It’s all about cost for me. No way would I ever pay what DirectTV wanted for all of those years

Same for me. About 20 years ago I was an NFL junkie. I would have paid whatever it cost. But I couldn't without switching to DTV. That wasn't going to happen. The product has devolved to the point where there is no way I'm paying that kind of money for it any longer. That's just my opinion.

I've been watching football since the 70s. I'd say since about 2010 it has taken a turn for the worst. But like I said. Just my opinion.

I agree with this. I live in Orlando and have only had one game not on Hulu Live and that was the Texans.

I’ll get the Eagles game, the Titans as it’s on Thursday. I’m sure Dallas and Washington will be televised and then the playoff game.

So I have had to stream 1 maybe 2 games tops.

You obviously have never owned a business. They won’t do that. It creates unpredictable revenue patterns.

They're paying 2.5 billion for the service, almost a billion more than Directv. You can guarantee they're gonna get it back through the subscribers.

Yep. No matter what its going to cost us more to watch if you want this service.
The positive side of this is that you are looking at another $40-50 million per team; so the cap takes another big jump.
Now of course that is only good for a few years as ALL the salaries sky rocket; I cannot imagine what the QB's will be getting in a few years.
Smart teams will capitalize right away on the cap jump; lock in as many as they can right away.

The Sunday Ticket package will be available on YouTube TV and YouTube Premium channels, if/when the deal is done. The price will be similar to the current DirecTV charge. That reportedly became the sticking point for Apple, which wanted to make the product less expensive for consumers.

As Alex Sherman of CNBC.com reported in June, the NFL’s deals with CBS and Fox prevent the NFL from offering Sunday Ticket at a significantly lower price. This helps maximize viewership of the games offered by CBS and Fox in a given market, by keeping people from purchasing the ability to watch all games.

Don’t get mad at CBS or Fox or YouTube about this. The NFL could have taken less from CBS and Fox in order to secure the ability to sell Sunday Ticket for less. The league, taking full advantage of its broadcast antitrust exemption, maximized the revenue from all broadcasters while also making it more expensive for average fans to watch the games they want to watch.
