10) Dallas Cowboys

Blue chips: Tony Romo, QB; Dez Bryant, WR;Jason Witten, TE; Travis Frederick, C; Zack Martin, OG; Tyron Smith, OT; Sean Lee, LB;Orlando Scandrick, CB; Dan Bailey, K.

Risers: DeMarcus Lawrence, DE; La'el Collins, OG.

Despite the Cowboys' 4-12 record in 2015, they should rebound nicely with the top players back on the field. Romo and Bryant fuel a dangerous aerial attack that perfectly complements a rugged running game -- one that could truly explode with dynamic rookieEzekiel Elliott as the RB1. The Cowboys' star-studded offensive line is a force to be reckoned with: Smith, Martin and Frederick move bodies off the line of scrimmage on run plays and form an impenetrable wall on passes. On defense, Scandrick's return from injury -- he missed the entire 2015 campaign after tearing up his knee in training camp -- gives the unit an ultra-athletic CB1 to shadow the elite receivers in the NFC East. If he and Lee can stay healthy, the Cowboys' defense might exceed expectations.

I would argue that with a younger Romo & Witten we would be top 5.

Why isn't such a talented roster competing in championship games?

You can't wrap your brain around that concept?

It is just a misused term. A lot more goes into winning games than pure talent. There is coaching, how that talent is used and works together. Lots of teams are "talented". The Eagles Dream Team was "talented". Did not matter at the end of the day.

Kind of stings to be put behind the Giants and Chiefs. Also odd that the Patriots don't crack the top 10, yet somehow manage to record 12 wins a year.

Counting the number of players you arbitrarily consider blue chippers is not the best way to measure talent. We don't have enough quality players on defense, for example.

He's also got the Giants ahead of us, which is interesting.

The problem is that all of our talent is on offense. Only two blue-chip defenders are mentioned — one who has fought injuries throughout his career and the other coming off a major injury. Our riser is currently suspended for four games.

Why does he rank the Giants that high? Look at the list of "blue chips". If those are blue chips, then so are Tyrone Crawford, Cedric Thornton, and Rolando McClain.

Notable exceptions are Green Bay, Houston, Baltimore, New England, and Atlanta.

The Pats have plenty of talent. They're loaded with B/B+ guys (with a few super stars sprinkled in) and not many (or any) C-/D's.

And yes, the are better coached :)

Giants Olivier Vernon a "blue chip" player. 7.5 sacks last year. 6.5 the previous year. ha ha
