Goodell is out of control like usual, this is overkill, Put the draft back in april, and keep it to three days.

I am ok with it being prime time on the first night, I just wish maybe it was the first two rounds, and then finish it up all the next day.

If they're going to stretch it out they better actually put some effort into coming up with content for the third round and beyond. Last year the 4th -7th was crap as they just let a bunch of picks come off the board, talk about one and keep going. So they could rehash the first round over and over.

Exactly. How many times do we have to hear about a teams round one draft grade?

Yeah the 1st round is a fraking JOKE, gimme a 2 Day Draft, that was drawn out plenty enough already....so sorry but Goodell is an idiot face guard. How low will they stoop.

Pray to the Football Gods to bring back the Game. Rather watch Veterans play the real game of Football. BRING IT!

Honestly, make that crap a one day draft. One Saturday, start early, get it all done in a day.

If he did this it would all but end any interest in round six and seven and they would eventually shorten the draft and move it back to two days.

What in the world is Goodell thinking?

He routinely thinks about the financial aspects of his moves far more conscientiously than he does any consideration of how it might appeal to the NFL's football fans that pay his salary. This recent brainstorm of his is highly typical of that tendency. I'll be relieved when his time as commissioner comes to an end. I strongly feel the fans deserve more consideration from the post he serves.

it' his job to have the NFL progress and be in the spotlight...and, I don't think for a second that the owners wouldn't have known about this ahead of time and given their stamp of approval

Continue to tweak the NFL until it breaks. I'm really starting to believe what Aikman said about the league a few months ago.

Goodell has been nothing but a sideshow himself.
