Too bad if a player doesn't like it. They can go find another league to play in where they can wear their hair long.
That's the reality of it and arguing about it until the end of time doesn't change that reality.
Telling a guy to dress like a professional is not the same as telling a guy to alter his physical apperance. If you want players to wear suits to games (which they won't allow, unless it's made by Reebok or some other such corporate BS) that's one thing.
When a coach has to file a petition to be allowed to wear a suit on the sidelines, and the NFL comes back with, "Sure, you can wear a suit 3 times a year and it has to be made by Reebok. Otherwise, you must wear Reebok team apperal such as wind suits, jackets, hats and visors." you can't tell me jack about the NFL wanting to look more professional.
How many so called, respected business men, do you know that would wear a NFL Reekbok bubble jacket to work?
They'd rather their coaches look like walking billboards then businessmen. But the people that actually go out there and put their bodies on the line? Oh, your hair is too long, you're ruining the entire image of the NFL with your long hair.
