A little food coloring and some spit should do the trick- can't penalize for spitting on the field.

the issue isnt the rule change that bothers me...its dumb but it is what it is.

What bothers me is that they knew about this last week, just as all of us did when we read the memo on this site....so why didn't they prepare and adjust for it in practice? I am sure this week they are preparing for it and it wont be an issue but this is just piss poor prep that contributed to a bad performance.

Not to be a suck up, but I for one always appreciate your takes and perspective on this forum.
Appreciate that. Just call 'em like I see 'em, popular or not. The fact that I can make a joke in this thread and it riles people up is hilarious to me. If I'm ever that tightly wound or carry that much baggage over what someone else says or has said in the past, I would take a timeout from the internet. It's just not that serious.

It seems what would be considered a "foreign" object on a football field is what needed to clarified.

Is it just me, or is this whole thing ridiculous?
Seems like overkill.
Hold on, I'm confused now. I thought they were talking about foreign objects. When talking about foreign objects on a football field, grass is not one of them.

If the NFL is saying someone can't grab or push down a single blade of grass, then they just made that up.

“The Dallas Cowboys win!!!! Brett Maher nails a 63 yarder as time expires …. Oh wait, no. There is a flag on the field”

“15 yard penalty on Dallas for picking up a blade of grass. By rule, game over.”
Don't even play like that.

Well, well, well. We've been told to watch out for the refs cheating when it was just projection the whole time.

Lol, not cheating just bias. This is the latest example of them finding some obscure way to stick it to us.

Blades of grass, how the hell is the field a prop?

They just made this crap up. What's next? Can't have a holder, he aids in the kicking of the ball. It should just be snapped to an open area and the kicker has to make do.

No foreign objects in the pool. Get that water out of there.

The decision making in the NFL front office has been bizarre at times.
I thought the whole thing was they did not want any foreign objects that could raise up the football, which makes since.
