I'm sure there may be some surprise cuts out there that could help the Cowboys. Get to work Will McClay!! :)

This would be nice:

This would allow us to keep Uncle Rico - then put him on IR for a later designated return once concussion protocol is no more.

Sean Spence cut in Indy. A linebacker that fits what Dallas does and can cover. Why was he cut, I dont know. He is a veteran linebacker that is available where we need help I think so just putting it out there. Basically every available linebacker will be compared to Mark Nzochea and see if it is an upgrade.

Funny to see people talk about picking up Sean Spence. He was a guy who recovered from drop foot after a serious knee injury.

Yeah I know he had the injury but I think he played fine with the titans didnt he? Again I am not sure why he was cut in Indy. He seems small for a 34 defense though.

I'm just talking about the idea of having two LBs that have recovered from drop foot.

Has to be on the original roster to be placed on IR and brought back during the season.

is that the rule? I guess I didnt realize that. so if a player gets hurt in the middle of august and goes to IR they can't come back?

Not unless they are placed on the post-cutdown roster then brought back. A lot of us, including me, have been confused about this.

The constant barrage of "breaking news" on Zeke and the impending legal battle with the NFL has me in sensory overload. Now, throw in Cut Day and I may have to seek expert counseling :).

Seriously, next to the draft and, of course, the season itself, this is my favorite time of the football year. This is especially true given the Cowboys much more methodical and practical approach to player personnel management - thanks Will McClay!

Indy and the Saints are two teams with a glut of MLBs. A useful one will be cut from both teams. Spence is the odd one out in Indy.
