Indy and the Saints are two teams with a glut of MLBs. A useful one will be cut from both teams. Spence is the odd one out in Indy.
Yea, im reading that Stephone Anthony most likely won't make the final cut with the saints. I remember him having a pretty terrific rookie year as their mlb but he had a down year last year after being moved to slb. He's only 25, so I'm surprised the saints are do quick to give up on him. I'd definitely be interested if he is indeed cut.

He has no lateral movement or agility. Intriguing but too slow for NFL.

Reports are that Stephone Anthony as a high ankle sprain.

Escobar released by the chiefs, what a colossal 2nd rd bust he was and the sad part is the number of great players drafted well after him.

He made a great TD catch the other night too (wasn't open or anything, just great concentration on a ball the defender knocked away).

Really? I remember him being all over the field his rookie season and thought he was going to be a fixture for their D for years. He finished that season with over a hundred tackles and a couple of takeaways and scores.

Yea, I've read that too, but was even before the sprain, they brought in a gluten of new LBs. I wonder if it's really serious or if it's the saints reasoning to not play him.

I think it bears mentioning that we're 28th on the waiver wire chart. So if a player is cut, we have to hope a lot of teams pass on the player for us to get a chance. And chances are, if a player makes it to us, they probably aren't going to be great.

Now, I'm not sure if a player like TJ Ward has to pass through waivers. He'd really help the secondary, but I really think our coaches want to stick with the guys we have. I honestly think we'll be looking for depth guys at OL if we are looking for anyone at all.

Players with 4 years experience or more don't go through waivers, they go right to unrestricted free agency.

When a team claims a player they go to the end of the line.

Pretty sure Ward has more than 4 years of experience not sure if he is subject to waiver claims.

I know this is somewhat morbid, but I'm waiting for the day when a team (not the Cowboys) cuts a big-time player, say an in-his-prime Von Miller, because they got the name wrong or someone with the team thought it would be a good prank, expecting someone to catch it and correct it.
