is that the rule? I guess I didnt realize that. so if a player gets hurt in the middle of august and goes to IR they can't come back?

I think they have to be on the original 53 for at least one day. You can go from PUP to the recallable IR I believe. But you cannot have practiced in TC to be eligible for the PUP.
