Puke away. It's very hard to imagine turn cutting him. It's the price for keeping Linehan. Maybe that makes it worth it.

Not necessary though, if they want to IR rico they will just do it. They won't manipulate the roster to get him on then IR him.

They will if they want to designate him for return, which requires him to have been on the 53, even if only momentarily, before being IR'd.

Not really, he was deactivated for the second half of the season, or maybe just benched behind Rob Kelly and Chris Thompson. Then they drafted Samaje Perine, so Jones was the 4th RB at best. He skipped OTAs, hoping the team would release him before camp, they instead kept him knowing they wouldn't keep him.

If we IR him now, it's a whole year he can't practice and I think that's a stupid decision.

The only real guys to rue over losing are Cooper Rush, Noah Brown and Rico Gathers. I doubt we end up losing any of the three. What hurts is that we are going to lose a couple guys because they haven't announced the punishments for Carroll and Wilson. We know suspensions are coming, but right now we are going to have to keep them on the active roster until a suspension is announced. At that point we will have already cut and lost guys that might have stuck if the suspensions were known. That would include guys like LB Jones, RB Smith, DL Neal or DL Jones.

His fall from a year ago is the reason for surprise, although I haven't followed them very closely through training camp.
