NFL eliminating the Pro Bowl

I think the players voted to the Pro Bowl should be put in madden on the respective teams and then allow the 2 best Madden players to play it out. Or have AI do a simulation.

I like idea of no game, less wear and tear on the players and less chance of injury

I'm OK with the fans having a say, but at least now it won't come down to half the players not showing up so they are reduced to bringing in alternates like Shedeur Sanders. Like with All-Pro, the selections should be limited. It think 88 may be too many. It probably should be reduced to no more than 70. That's three-deep at every position plus specialists.

I have not watched anything pro bowl since the late 90’s.
Other than a few minutes here and there when they still had the game.

Since they went to the flag football and other events. I never watched anything pro bowl of it.

The NFL Pro Bowling event. Divide the roster into teams of 4 and play an elimination tournament: That or 36 holes of golf, each team selecting one of their own to represent and each green representing a teams colors, NFL Logo, Pro Bowl Logo, and 2 more logos.

With the passing of the Pro Bowl, it is fitting that we revisit the 1976 Pro Bowl, the Pro Bowl with perhaps the worst player ever put on a Pro Bowl team--and he's an Eagle.

In a year that saw such excellent QB's as Captain America, Fran Tarkenton, and Jim Hart selected for the NFC, the name Mike Boryla shows up to lay a stain on the honor of the best in the league playing in the game. As one could guess, he was selected based on some QB's still playing games and other selections being injured.

The stats don't lie. He played in seven games, only starting five that year (1975). His record as a starter was 2-3. He completed 52.4% of his passes (88 for 166) for a whopping 966 yards. He tossed 6 TD's to 12 INT's. His INT% rate was 7.2% (woof). His adjusted net yards per attempt was a mighty 2.8 yards. He must be the worst Pro Bowl selection in NFL history.

With the demise of the Pro Bowl game, no longer do us loyal fans have to worry about the league scraping the bottom of the barrel to fill out a Pro Bowl roster. Other Cowboys selected that year besides Roger were the very deserving Cliff Harris and Rayfield Wright.

Sport is too physical to have an accurate Pro bowl game. Just not the sport meant to have it. At least they will still have voting and acknowledge those guys. I'm sure that will be a mess as well.

The only one of the "ALL-STAR" type games amongst the BIG 4 sports in this country that is played anything like it is in the real games in the regular season is baseball. Hockey and basketball are just offensive shootouts with no defense played at all. The Pro Bowl turned into a huge joke, nobody wants to play in the damn thing after going through now 17 regular season games, lol, I can't blame them. Before player salaries rose so high, I am pretty sure the big deal for players and there wives was the free trip to Hawaii anyway.

Fans have no idea what they are voting, its a popularity contest for them. We had a certain someone on these boards claiming Kenneth Murray was having an outstanding season

The game sucked but I’d just eliminate the game and have a weekend of fan events to mix and mingle with their favorite players. Rotate to different city each year. And make it free or very cheap. Give something back to the fans
