Donated? Riiiiight. Donated right back to the owners and Goodell. The NFL makes the military pay for them to do their bogus military coverage/ You think they would donate to anyone

It's a huge racket. Fine these players for the most ridiculous stuff and get that money back and pocket it. Go look at weekly basis on how many fines there are across the league. It is downright ridiculous. But the players never cared to build a strong union to fight this so it is partly their fault.

I'm sure a multi-billion dollar industry is frothing at the mouth over a tens of thousands of dollars. They raise the cost of a ticket by a single dollar across the league and they'll probably make multiple times whatever the fine amounts come out to.

There were at least 2 Colts players waving "taunting" good-bye to the 49ers players when the Colts made the game ending interception late in the 4th quarter tonight.

The officials DID NOT throw a flag for "taunting" while on the field of play.

I bet Badell and his minions will not fine those 2 Colts players for "taunting".

But, for the Cowboys player named CeeDee, oh yeah, he needs to be fined for "taunting".

What a bunch of biased garbage.
I agree, he shouldn't have been fined. But it's not like Goodell saw the play and called to issue a fine. I'm sure it was someone else on the staff who made the decision. Also, there was no flag thrown on Lamb either. Do we know if the above mentioned players were fined afterwards? Were they waving right in another player's face, or just indirectly toward the sideline?

There are a lot of factors that go into these decisions, and I very much doubt that favoritism in one of them.

I'm not taking sides, but the Rodgers celebration you were talking about looked to me like he was just celebrating, and in fact seemed to intentionally avoid eye contact with the other players. I hate Smirky McDBag, but I wouldn't have thrown a flag on that. However, I think I've seen players fined for gestures and words to the crowd before, and if his actions are on a par with those, he should be fined.

Hold on. Mills went up to CeeDee, not CeeDee going up to him. Mills instigated and caused CeeDee to wave at him goodbye, hence why CeeDee asked Mills, "What are you going to do?" Had Mills not instigated and gone up to CeeDee, CeeDee would not have waved goodbye to him.

Right...and is approaching a player while not yelling or acting aggressive a penalty?

I get that it's a miscarriage of justice, but going by the letter of the law, they're not wrong.

What's got people bent is the inconsistency. I do not think there's a conspiracy against Dallas specifically. Some players do get away with their signature taunt. I mean, if we're going to call Lambs wave a taunt then that doesn't rule out all the others. Now it's become a matter of: where they looking at someone? How silly it's become.

New rule, if you don't like the taunt/celebration - stop the play.

Inconsistent penalties are the problem, but I think they see a difference between standing right in front of someone, looking them in the eye, and waving and waving in the general direction of the other team or fans.

It's not a point of emphasis to me. I think it's overboard. I see the difference.
"Using baiting or taunting acts or words that may engender ill will between teams" - I don't like refs having anymore opinions on the field, they have a hard enough time getting in position to see a player score a TD.

If you taunt in any way, you get fined. I do like cd's little "point to the endzone" when he gets a first down. Not to over the top. It's better than "feed me".

We'll see if he learned his lesson in the upcoming games. I do wish the, "it's all about me" attitude would disappear from the game. They are learning it at an early age. Was watching a high school game and the kids are doing that crap also.

Bad sportsmanship if you ask me but I am old school.

You can't make this bias up anymore...

What a f-ing joke!!!!!!!!! Cee Dee wouldn't of responded the way he did if the corner would of acted like a PRO at the end of this play. No, the corner was pissed and embarrassed because CeeDee came out on top on the play, acted like a punk and shoved him down. Hey Goodell how many receivers would of jumped up and thrown punches for getting knocked on their *** for NO REASON???????? Probably 99.9% would of thrown punches and caused a full blown riot, but not CeeDee he just waved goodbye and get's a $10K fine for showing great judgement. What a F-ing joke!

Rams players don’t celebrate when they score?
I find that unbelievable and I haven’t seen the Rams play this year. Players today have to celebrate. It is how, most of them, grew up playing the game.

It is part of McVay philosophy. Basically they haven't celebrated since 2018 when McVay said if you celebrate too much, that mean you don't often score touchdowns and the Rams score touchdowns too much to have tons of celebrations design. At one point they scored more touchdowns than available fireworks.

Lamb was shoved before The Wave, but he started celebrating before he crossed the goal line. That infuriated Mills, who then shoved him, which was followed by the wave. That was actually how it unfolded:
1)Premature celebration
2)Shove
3)Wave

Anything you can do in Pop Warner, High School, or college football that wouldn't even draw a penalty isn't 'celebration', premature or otherwise. He held the ball out on a walk-off...big deal. And don't bring up that Iowa State nonsense. That ref may not have a job next year.

Big deal or not, that’s what happened. Holding the ball out, right or wrong, angered Mills. In that split second he felt dissed, and reacted predictably, by shoving Diggs. He SHOULD have been penalized, IMO. Diggs should have also been penalized after the fact, for his waving taunt. A 10k fine was ridiculous, IMO. That amount was chump change for the league AND Diggs, so my question is “WHY”?

You mean Lamb, but whatever. JJ will happily pay the fine. That Mills wasn't fined was BS.

I saw that game last night and the players were running towards the end zone just like most players do after a turnover and waving at the same time, not at any player but we know about slant in this thread, don't we? And of course you're right on about Rodgers. He wasn't looking at one, or two, or any Bears players whatsoever. All his stuff was directed at the crowd, who deserved it. Lol. Who have you seen fined for gestures to a crowd unless it was flipping a bird or maybe(?) Randy Moss' fake mooning of Packers fans way back when that awakened Joe Buck's inner Mormon?

I don't remember any specific incidents, that's why I said, "If his actions were on a par with those".

And Woke!
NFL wokeness is driving people away from the game.

They banned all choreography celebrations at one time, and now they're welcomed. That probably won't happen with this issue, but it's not like the NFL moves in any single direction. They do whatever is in their best interest at any given time.
