I have no idea if true or not but rumors like this always seem to come out when there is a coaching change.

The other fact once again is Joe Philbin, is Mike McCarthy’s Buddy and Dallas didn’t even renew his expiring contract. He served as OC for the Packers in the WCO and took over for McCarthy after he was fired in GB. He is essentially a right-hand man of Mike McCarthy and came with him.

So pretending like Mike had full say in what is happening with the offensive changes and he was just upset at Moore is pretty gullible IMO.
Who said he had full say? The only people who care about the how or why are people who want to create a narrative one way or the other.

Moore has been here 4 years - we likely reached our peak with him and maybe even with McCarthy but it was time for changes all around.

The point is the narrative that these changes were defined by MM not liking Moore is not as strong as one would like to believe, as Joe Philbin is gone.

Moore was going to leave, but Jerry offered him a pay raise to stay. And he had 1 year remaining.

and if they aren’t changing the offense, which is what reports say are happening, it’s probably more likely Moore wanted to bounce.

No one is saying that tho lol….it seems like there’s been changes and concessions made by both sides.

Where are you seeing that Moore was going to leave but Jerry offered him a pay raise? Moore couldn’t leave without the cowboys permission unless for a head coaches job. And there’s again not one report you can show me that says they “aren’t changing the offense” you’re literally pulling that out of thin air.

Show it to me please so I can be educated. The best info we have on the offense is that MM will likely call plays and that’s not confirmed.

Lastly, the cowboys don’t need to entirely change the offense- they’d be smart not to. They need to add MM’s (or whomever calls plays) wrinkles too it and be better calling plays situationally.

Again, I’m genuinely interested send me the confirmed links that we aren’t going to change the offense at all I’d really like to read about it

My take: McCarthy had enough with Moore and Dak after the SF game and let Jerry know things couldn't continue this way and he can either get rid of the QB, the OC or the HC. Jerry acquiesced, but said you have to also give up some of those coaches on Staff. What are we paying all those guys for? Guess we gonna find that out quick.

i think its obvious mccarthy has more pull than people think.
he's making the changes.
it's his staff.
and who knows...he may change the QB in due time.

Notice how this thread only has 2 pages and the other one saying Moore wanted out has 12.

The TMZ posters have spoken.

I mean more than half of Cowboys Nation had a problem with Moore towards the end of the season. Let Moore do his thing with the Chargers and MM will do what he do here. We will see at the end of next season where everyone is at.

Moore had that LA job all lined up. Guy went into his exit interview in Roger Staubach’s uniform a la George Costanza when he wanted to work for the Mets but had to get fired by the Yankees first.

Just a lot of finger pointing and non-sense like that. Welcome to the off season.
The media probably had this story written every year just in case one of our Coordinators got canned

Lazy Journalism…….which is now an oxymoron
