According to Fox Sports, both teams will be required to submit two dozen footballs to game officials — 12 for the game and 12 backups — two hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff. The 12 "primary" balls will be numbered by game officials, who will check the inflation of each ball prior to the game and record that information.

The acceptable PSI will remain between 12.5 and 13.5, and balls will be inflated or deflated accordingly if they fall outside that range.

Chain of custody also will be a focus, with a league security official involved in making sure each football is accounted for from the pregame period on.

Like I said in the other thread, anyone truly interested in a fair outcome to this whole deflategate nonsense would want to see the halftime readings which will be taken randomly this upcoming season in a wide variety of weather conditions.

Why? Do you think Brady deflated the balls in the first half of the game?

Any game ball within the allowable range of 12.5 to 13.5 PSI will be approved and the PSI level will not be altered. Any game ball determined to be over 13.5 PSI or under 12.5 PSI will either be deflated or inflated to 13.0 PSI.
I expect this to be Tom Brady's breaking point and he will suddenly announce his retirement because he can't play with a properly inflated football.

Well, Brady certainly didn't deflate the balls, but the 2 relevant questions are "Did anyone else deflate the balls?" and "Did Brady know about it?"

When the situation first broke I said "they probably did it, but I can't believe how big of a deal is being made of the whole thing."
Then a bunch of stringent denials came and I said "I think they're innocent, but I cannot believe how big of a deal is being made of the whole thing."
Then the Wells Report came out and I accepted those results and went back to "they probably did it, but I can't believe how big of a deal is being made of the whole thing."

Then I saw the AEI Institute Report and learned how to properly apply the Ideal Gas Law which proves the balls were in range of where science says they should be, and so now I've just thrown up my hands and say "Maybe they did it, maybe they didn't, but I cannot believe how big of a deal is being made of the whole thing."

It will be very interesting to see how other balls measure up this season. It will also be very interested to see the public reaction when some team's balls are well under 12.5 at halftime of a cold weather game.

Tom Brady just can't catch a break. Anyone feel sorry for him? Me neither.

What's sad is that the moron, Goodell and the NFL already have a procedure in place, but can't come up with a punishment for pretty boy Brady any time soon. Idiotic.

Yes, it has.

The New England Patriots have been illegally deflating footballs for a long time.

The Brady Rules are now in effect.

So you're one of those hater's who doesnt care about the integrity of the game?

All of the footballs tested correctly prior to the game.

At halftime, 11 of 12 New England Patriots' footballs were re-tested and found to be under-inflated while all 12 Indianapolis Colts' footballs remained at their pre-game PSI testing level.

Tom Brady, the reason the Patriots have been doing this for years, was lucky to only receive a four game suspension after refusing to cooperate with Ted Wells' investigation.

Brady's "worried" about his legacy and he should be.

Sooner or later, most likely much later, someone will spill the beans and reveal all of the skeletons in the closet.

Don't worry, WPBCowboysFan. You're already well established in the camp of people not even remotely interested in a fair outcome.

Right, I dont have any sympathy for a player that cheats, then lies about the cheating, and then lies some more in a press conference that was held for the sole purpose of lying some more, and then plays the victim card crying to be exonerated. So in "YOUR" twisted way of classifying a "fair outcome" in this situation no I have no interest whatsoever in it. My only interest in a fair outcome is for this guy to serve his FULL 4 game suspension.

You are entitled to your own opinion. You are not, however, entitled to your own facts. The Colts balls went down. They did not remain at their pre-game PSI level.

FACT: Patriots balls were measured to where science predicts they should have been.

They need to put wireless air pressure sensors in the balls like they have on cars now. They could have a wireless base on the sideline that would monitor the pressure. The base could even send a feed to the network that could show the pressure to the audience.

I have not reviewed the technology used on car tire pressure sensors, but it would probably have to be modified to extend the range between the sensor and the base.

No.

I'm one of those haters that doesn't like seeing New England get rewarded for their cheating ways.

Well, according to Rogah that means you're a hater who doesnt care about the integrity of the game. If you're not willing to completely exonerate the Cheatriots of everything you dont truly care about the games integrity.
