I will post the "math" that they said proves that we need TB to lose both games for us to make it in spite of the head to head.

I am wondering what the 3 team tie break is.
It doesnt make sense to me either....... we will see.... i dont like hearing that crap. I want to have a interesting 1pm game tomorrow.
Plus it doubles our chances of next weeks game meaning something to us.

That's flat out wrong. All you need is to beat Philly and have Atlanta lose to either Minnesota or the Rams.

I am talking about us beating philly and atlanta not having to lose.
Meaning we and atlanta both make the playoffs due to TB losing.

the question is if atlanta wins out do we need tampa to lose once or TWICE..Adam and Yahoo playoff generator said tampa loses once and we are in..

Its incorrect. There is a thread on this already..... All we need is TB to lose to either San Diego this week(or Oak next week), or ATL to lose to Minny this week(or the rams next week), and we have to beat PHI next week and we are in.....as the 5th or 6th seed

yes b/c tampa would fall to 10-6 and we beat them so we own the tie breaker. (all assuming we win @ PHI)

That is just flat out wrong. If they lose and we win at Philly we're both 10-6 and we hold the head to head tie breaker over them. That is always the first tie breaker, has always been the first tie breaker, and will always be the first tie breaker.

And since we beat them there is not need to look at second tie breakers.

If they lose tomorrow, or next Sunday, and we beat Philly we're in.

This scenario only plays out if Chicago goes 10-6. Then Tampa gets in. I think.

I'm pretty sure a three way tie would send OU to the playoffs.

Thats what we need to know.
What are the tie breakers if its us, chicago and TB all tied at 10-6?

Why is it that TB would get in over us?

Atlanta or the Bucs have to lose one game and we have to beat Philly to get in.

Based on what tie breaker model are you using assuming its a 3 way tie with us CHI and TB?

If it was a 3 way tie with chicago and Tampa here it goes

1. Apply division tiebreaker to eliminate all but the highest ranked club in each division prior to proceeding to step
Nobody eliminated

2. Head-to-head sweep.

Dallas wins head to head they are in, Tampa and Chicago start the tie break scenario over

Here is the rest
3. Best won-lost percentage in games played within the conference. 4. Best won-lost percentage in common games, minimum of four. 5. Strength of victory. 6. Strength of schedule. 7. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed. 8. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed. 9. Best net points in conference games. 10. Best net points in all games. 11. Best net touchdowns in all games. 12. Coin toss

Nevermind. it goes to Strength of victory and I think we have the edge in that regard.

Not sure where NFLN is getting their info.

Yes...as fans, we all want the Cowboys to make the playoffs...why, I'm not sure.

This is not a playoff team.

But I'll be rooting anyway.

We didn't play Chicago so No.2 won't apply in this case.
