Guess you missed the game or weren't paying attention.

guess you missed my point completely.

i never said they didnt miss any calls.

they do every game, on both sides.

i just dont use it as an excuse when the team i root for plays bad.

if you want to go right ahead, see what changes.

These officials travel around alot. Maybe they thought this was a Pittsburgh home game. That's what it looked like.

I hate it when people want to act like they are superior to others, because they won't blame the refs. We probably would have lost anyway, but the officiating was so poor today that it was an embarrassment to the league. Whats more is that the NFL could do something to fix it by getting rid of over the hill part time refs and hiring some more athletic full-time refs. However, the league through its propaganda wind--a.k.a Mike Perrieria--consistently take a see no evil hear no evil approach to their incompetent refs.

My problem with the fumble call was the only reason he didn't rule it down is because he thought he could go back and review the play.

Refs have to stop making calls with the thought in their head that they can go back and review.

Now that is what totally bugs the heck out of me, and I totally agree with you on your statement. Mike Perrieria and his I dont see anything, I dont hear anything or see anything approach.

Till the fans wake up and realize this, poor officiating can haunt you.

Just think about this cowboys fans, what if officiating was done right nad we won some way. But now with this game, at the end of the season this is the game that keeps us out of the playoffs. What do you say then zoners>

Say we get tied some way with phily, giants, atlanta, for playoff games at the end of the season and because we lost this game with the bad officiating, this is the game that kept us out of the playoffs.

another thing you zoners are missing is this;
We all know that the head coach of the packers used a challenge flag when he didnt have any more. That ate up about 4 to 5 minutes delaying the game, stalled our momentum in the game wiht a drive by the cowboys on offense.

what if other nfl teams coaches see now, oh, i dont have any more challenges, but i will throw them, and the refs wont throw any penalties on me or my team, that way i can give my defense a change to regroup, get rest and reset to stop the cowboys. If i remember right, 2 years ago, we threw a challenge flag once, and our team got a penalty flag from the refs thrown on us. but the packers sure didnt did they tonight? What about that zoners. The NFL is a copy cat league, remember the flags thrown right before a kicker would kick the ball and make the kicker kick the ball again.

Need to think about that, too.

Remember the Seatle-Pgh superbowl?

Think the league cares about you?

The game was fixed. Get over it.

if i really thought that the nfl was fixed or games fixed, i would never watch them again,

i dont think games are fixed, but i do think some refs are more partial to some teams then others, and they look the other way when the team they likes makes mistakes but throw flags on the cowboys more than often than other teams

If you throw the red flag and you're out of challenges, isn't that unsportsmanlike conduct, 15 yard penalty OR delay of game OR something... This is a standard mandatory call isn't it?

I didn't have a problem with the officiating today. It was bad but i've seen worse. My concerns are with the fact the officials had no clue on what the hell was going on. And that Felix challenge is still mind boggling to me. McCarthy was allowed to stop play. Sort of like a timeout by challenging a call and he had NO CHALLENGES. No consequences at all.

As another poster pointed out in a different thread, the most likely explanation for why they didn't penalize McCarthy for challenging a play when he had no more challenges is that the refs were supposed to take his flag away after the previous unsuccessful challenge but failed to. Of course, that just raises the question of how in the world they could be so incompetent as to not take away his flag.

I still think that if you got over say 100 signatures on a petition and you wrote a very good article on nfl blown calls etc. A top writer wrote up the article and got it published, and the media picked up on that making it publically known where Mike Periroria and Commissioner Goodell cant hide it and get away with it. Then something would be done.

I still believe that when people have had enough, stand up and be counted, and let it be known that they arent accepting any more excuses but want results then something can be done.

Bottom line, people have to stand up and be counted, till that happens then what you say about the nfl not caring on what you say is true.

No one other then Cowboys fans will be whining over this.

Had the calls gone our way would you be this upset about it? i doubt it. Some times calls go your way and some times they don't unless you're willing to do this with bad calls that do go our way it's pretty pointless

I'm all for it, but nothing will be done unless it hits the NFL in the wallet or there is some big scandal that arises out of it.

Here's the thing that I complain about...many of the refs simply do not know the rules. For example, in the Carolina v Washington game a few weeks ago on 4th and goal the Panthers ran the ball, fumbled it and it was recovered in the end zone by Carolina TE Jeff King. The refs ruled it a TD until London Fletcher had to inform them that the rules state that King cannot recover the ball in that situation.

Refs not knowing the rules.

My big gripe today was it seemed like the refs just simply got fed up with having to call a holding penalty against the Packers. That and the Jenkins hand to the face call was horrendous.

But we really need to see a league wide petition because the referees suck league wide and nothing substantive is ever done to improve it.

i agree with that, but that shows the incompetence of the nfl officials in that ball game doesnt it, or maybe partiality of the nfl refs in that game to the packers doesnt it;

What about the call on Mike Jenkins when Scandrick made the play of the half? Plus, they blew the whistle on the fumble and loose ball. It looked like a fumble to me. Scandrick had a sack and TD on one play. The replay showed that Jenkins didn't do anything to merit that pitiful call.

I saw Ratliff and Spears being held on big runs, no call.

Yakuza Rich saw it, too.

No, thats where i disagree with you, i have done some research on this;
a few years back the nfl admitted to calling 9 bad calls in one game, 9
year before last or last year, the nfl sent 3 different letters to the steelers for blown calls, was tomlins first year i think as head coach
they admitted in the seattle pittsburgh game they blew some calls
the nfl also admitted in a ravens game they blew some calls

i remember in a couple of cowboys games, our head coaches said the nfl admitted they blew some calls

thats my point, its not just our team, its other teams too with blown calls

now have i said anything when other teams have had bad calls on them, no, like in a petition, but i have said it several times on this board;
