Honestly the best thing Goodell and NFL can do at this point is throw out entire suspension before this gets out of hand. Henderson can actually clean it up, leaving Goodell and NFL only issuing a concurring statement. That would kill it and close this once and for all. No one would hardly remember in a couple months. But to drag this **** out will only leave a scar on BOTH sides.
Sadly, I don't believe the NFL would ever withdraw the suspension. There's too much at stake, too many egos and too much of a PR nightmare to do so. I believe the NFL will fall on it's sword before it admits it screwed this up.

As many others have opined, this is going to get real messy and real nasty.

It is also a powerful tool for asshats to use to further their own beliefs. Just saying.

Yeah, it's amazing how weak minded some people are. They are so easily fooled it's scary. Look at this country. Look at how the NFL acts, yet they haven't been beaten to a pulp yet.

So you think the NFL is better equipped to handle matters such as this (criminal) than say the police detectives and investigators and a district attorney office ?

I would say no......but we had ea history of the judicial system and detectives not doing their jobs effectively.

this poster clearly has an agenda.
calling the skank a victim while all evidence point to a lying evidence-falsify blackmailing felon.

I have an agenda? I hope Zeke is innocent because I want him on the field. I doubt he is innocent.

Yeah, as someone else alluded to, the NFL can't even figure out what a catch is in their own sport, yet we trust them to properly investigate a DV charge?

I have said before that I did not think Zeke had much of a legal case, but this statement by the NFL, prior to the appeals process is pretty damning against them. It shows a clear lack of impartiality and objectivity to the case and this could be evidence that fairness in accordance with the CBA is not being followed. This goes to the process which is the only way a legal battle has legs. Very very stupid move on the part of the NFL. It is very damaging for them from a PR perspective as well since anyone with half a brain sees right through it.

Sadly enough, it seems as though the people shaming the victim are Elliot's parents.
If he is guilty at all, its a pretty sad statement and maybe points to why he has some issues.
You know she is not a victim. I do not know if Elliott hit her but if he did it was probably in self defense and I don't usually go that way. She sounds like she was stalking him , blackmailing him and who knows what else. She is not innocent and is a disgrace to actual victims of DV.

Only way they reduce it IMO is if they realize they are in deep do do and hope that they can persuade Elliott to take a lighter punishment and make this all go away.

you called skank a victim without proof.
you are twisting everything to label zeke as criminal and skank as victim.

yes that is an agenda.

BLACKMAILING makes skank a FELON
I think evidence falsifying is probably at least FRAUD - ALSO a Felony
