How so? He didn't do much for Tim Brown. Once a player is washed up, it's tough to get much out of them.

Look at Tim Browns numbers in Oakland. By the time he hit TB, Brown was waaaaay washed up.

Everything I type is a lie. Except that. And that.

I think he was referencing Joey Galloway's resurgence last year.

Now there's a name I don't want to hear.

But I can't blame him ... he didn't give up two 1st rounders.

Kills me to this day.

I once hoped we'd snag Boston ... not sure what happened to the guy recently, but man did he tank.

I thought he would could have helped us after his season with the Cardinals.
He was taking roids and got too big to play wr then he blew out his knee. That's a bad combination.

What's it going to be then, eh?

No offense, but Galloway was no where near being as washed up as Boston is.

If Gruden makes Boston productive now that he is off the steroids, then I will be very impressed and bow to his greatness.

If they're dumb enough to do Shanle for a 4th I'm game right now.

That will be a high 4th.

Shanle for Dwight Smith.....let's roll.

They've got FS's coming out of their ears.

Why would we want to trade one of our best back ups for a 4th rounder?

Shanle is a classic Parcells type of player and is going nowhere.

I'll be shocked if Shanle is still on the team after TC. Fowler is way better. If we can get something for him jump on it.

The Answer disagrees, Shanle's play was great last year when he filled in for Dat. The run defense was better and he made some key plays during a stretch when we went 5-1. Then when Shanle got hurt, the defensive play dropped when Fowler stepped in.

Shanle is a beast! And we all know how Parcells likes to collect TE's and LB's, no way he would make a move for Shanle unless it was for a 2nd rounder....Shanle will be back with a vengeance in 2006!

Galloway too. Brown and Rice while in Oakland. He's done wonders with WRs no one else wants.

If Burnett is back 100% for TC someone has to go and my money is on Shanle

At the end of 2005 Fowler had moved past Shanle, as had James. No doubt in my mind Ayodele is penciled ahead of him. Unless they move Burnett outside permanently or we suffer and injury at ILB it would appear Shanle's ticket might be waiting a stamp.

I thought Nors got banned.

57 tackles and 1.5 sacks does not equal beast.

If someone was dumb enough to trade for Shanle it won't be for anything more than a conditional 4th. More likely a conditional 5th or 6th.

You way over value his worth.

I bet you're still holding out for a 2 for Reshard Lee or Pete Hunter.

Fowler is not THE ANSWER. Shanle is a better nickel LB and Special teams player. I'm sure there were other teams very interested or we wouldn't have tendered him an offer to resign in the first place.

We were 5-1 with Shanle in the starting lineup, and he was a force in the run defense until he got slowed down with the ankle sprain. He's far from the best LB in the league but the kid is a player!

The Answer also believes that Dat's retirement had something to do with Shanle's emergence. Keep a close eye on Scott in 2006, he's on The Answers top 10 players to watch list!

Record with Shanle in the starting line up: 5-1

Shanle not starting: 4-6

Do the math....the kid is a difference maker and our LB corps are now fully loaded!

Those are the only ones that have locked up a spot. The question is how many do we keep?
