NFL Saturday Football Game Thread

Both offenses appeared to be feeling their opponent's defense out in that 1st quarter.
Expect some chunk play attempts in the 2nd stanza.

Great effort by La Porta.
This LaPorta kid is going to be a problem for us!
We drafted Mazi instead of La porta. and compounded that by drafting Schoonmaker.
Saw him in the 2023 season opener at Arrowhead - 5 catches for 39 yards.
66 receptions for 702 yards and 6 touchdowns before tonight's game -- don't see him finishing his rookie year without 1,000 yards.

There are a number good young tight ends throughout the league.

Just me spit balling...but I think the Lions were underutilized RB Gibbs all season long so that they could spring him on opposing defenses in the postseason with -
a) not a lot of tape on his overall skills
b) can spring him lose with formations and schemes that Detroit's OC kept under wraps.

Never liked football officials' take on plays like that.
If the WR (TE- RB) gives up forward progress (= ground) to try and gain additional yards - don't award the player the mark he chose not to settle for.

Denver so overrated. Bad team. If you don’t get Goff uncomfortable he’s gonna light you up.
