I was checking out there standings and they placed an ‘x’ next to them, which denotes clinching a playoff spot. Anyone else notice that?

Even their playoff picture has Dallas locked in the playoffs.

What gives?

Basically means the Cowboys were so good this year they locked up a playoff spot 3 weeks before the season ended.

But didnt you know that Dak sucks, Moore sucks, and the defense sucks, WR's sucks, Shultz sucks, how did we do it?

Nothing to do with a weak schedule, right?

I'm sure this adjusted a bit but:

The five easiest schedules, in order, are:

T-1. Commanders: 133-155-1 (.0462)
T-1. Cowboys: 133-155-1 (.462)
3. Eagles: 133-154-2 (.464)
4. Giants: 134-154-1 (.465)
5. Lions: 135-154 (.467)

https://www.nbcsports.com/washingto...022-who-will-have-easiest-and-hardest-seasons

just from googling who had the easiest schedule...

This is before the season sweet heart. Are you saying last years Eagles are as good as this years Eagles?

Fun fact: the Cowboys have the second best strength of victory in the NFC trailing only the Lions.

I don't remember any particular point in this season, thinking, 'man we sure have a tough schedule this year." It seemed more like to me that we did have a lot of weak teams to beat up on, and weak teams we should've beat up on but didn't. Seems like an easy schedule to me. How many measuring stick games have we had this year, where we could see how the cowboys measure up to the good teams? The Eagles matchup will be without Hurts so it seems like the schedule in a way has gotten easier.

We clinched when the Giants won.

I didn't realize that. I knew there were some different scenarios, but I didn't think any of them came through for us.

Even though we complain about this team (because we want them to go far in the playoffs), we really should appreciate the fact that it has played well enough overall to have already clinched a playoff spot. Being 10-4 is nothing to sneeze at, and we'd all probably be much happier about it if Philly wasn't 13-1.

I think we would be perfectly fine being 10-4, if the expectation after the last loss hasn't been lowered to the level, where many of us doubt the cowboys will do anything worthwhile in the playoffs. Now we can't even use the Eagles game as a benchmark because hurts is hurt to get a better feel to see if the cowboys are legit this year.

Since the Philly game, we've only lost in overtime, though. So I feel like expectations maybe got higher than they should have, which means they couldn't go anywhere but down with any loss. Frankly, I have no playoff expectations for this team because they've burned me too often for me to get my hopes up. The Jacksonville loss actually didn't bother me from an expectations standpoint, because we've done what is necessary (IMO) with 10 victories to be a playoff team. I could almost live with giving injured players the next three games off to get them healed and fresh for the playoffs. I may not think we're going to do much until we show it, but other than just wanting to win, I'd like us to be healthy enough to give winning in the playoffs our best shot.

Except for three games - the NFC East teams had the same opponents throughout their 2022 schedule.
Kudos to all four ---
Entering the last three weeks of the season, two teams have qualified for the playoffs...and the other two still have a chance to do the same.

Yeah was confused by weak schedule. They won the division last year (which means they get a 1st place schedule) and they have 7 games this year against teams that made the playoffs. Obviously in retrospect it doesn't look tough but the schedule could of been way easier if they had placed 4th in the division last year
