I was checking out there standings and they placed an ‘x’ next to them, which denotes clinching a playoff spot. Anyone else notice that?

Even their playoff picture has Dallas locked in the playoffs.

What gives?

Other discoveries since you've been out are world is not flat and the earth is not the center of the solar system.

I'm sure this adjusted a bit but:

The five easiest schedules, in order, are:

T-1. Commanders: 133-155-1 (.0462)
T-1. Cowboys: 133-155-1 (.462)
3. Eagles: 133-154-2 (.464)
4. Giants: 134-154-1 (.465)
5. Lions: 135-154 (.467)

just from googling who had the easiest schedule...

That list is from May 2022. Here is more recent list from November 30th.

Giants, didn't find out until Monday tbh. We don't have the play the next 3 games. Probably time to see some depth guys get some real reps now. They can start limiting their starters on a pitch count or something to keep them healthy. We are kind of bang up.

10th easiest Schedule is still very fortunate for us.

I'd kind of like to see us rest Parsons and Lawrence for at least the last two games. Both need to heal up. Give Williams a lot of reps and bring up Takk McKinley to rotate with him and Fowler. Armstrong could use the healing time as well. There are probably a few others to add to that list. I think there are some who also need a fair amount of reps (such as Tyron at RT), but we do need to try to experience up some of the depth players (such as more reps for Cox over Barr).

The Eagles and Cowboys only have 3 different teams on their schedules, so both have been relatively easy. They just didn't lose games to 3 teams currently under .500.

Basically means the Cowboys were so good this year they locked up a playoff spot 3 weeks before the season ended.

But didnt you know that Dak sucks, Moore sucks, and the defense sucks, WR's sucks, Shultz sucks, how did we do it?
We sucked less than all the other teams that are still trying to suck less than all the other teams suck

Lol, it's funny how critical we've become, in our pursuit of excellence. This is a really good team. It's frustrating watching them flail at times, but I am grateful for the entertainment they've provided this year.

I thought we were dead in the water after week one. I did actually say the silver lining could be a forced return to the run game and effective play action. I also said it would be a blessing in disguise if we kept that game plan when Dak returned. At no point did I actually believe we'd rattle off four straight with Rush.

I cooked supper and did the dishes while streaming the Bengals game on my phone. The entire game I kept expecting the bottom to fall out.

The point, sometimes they suprise you. Maybe they've got another suprise or two left in them.

Then we hit our main goal and can look forward to next year per Jones expectations.

That's really what the game is all about. If we went into every game absolutely knowing who was going to win, would anyone want to watch? Now, I prefer that the Cowboys surprise me with victories, but I never went into this season expecting us to win them all. There are always some surprise victories and some surprise losses. We're 10-4. I'm satisfied that we've had more surprise victories than surprise losses this year. And I hope we have at least a couple more in us to finish at least 12-5 in the regular season.

This doesn't mean I'll be satisfied if we're one and done in the playoffs, but if we jump to the end, we fail to enjoy the journey. So far, the 10-4 journey has been mostly enjoyable (except maybe for coming on here after both victories and losses only to find out that we suck and we're doomed). I have my hesitations about playoff expectations, but we're in the tournament, so it's easier for me to relax over these last few games and just see how we handle them.
