Oft-injured Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee missed five games down the stretch with neck and hamstring problems. He's determined to play from wire-to-wire for Dallas in 2014.

I would say the odds are against him.

QFT. I like him but he is fragile, it may be related to the fact that maybe he is not as physically gifted and has to make up for it by having a high motor and instincts but his body cannot take the abuse.

I think the article stated he has not played a full season in 4 years. I like him too but not on the bench. He's useless there. And he's there a lot.

Did he complete a full season at linebacker U? Seriously. I don't know.

I'm pretty sure he missed a year there with a knee injury & was known to be "injury prone" which is why he was available to the Cowboys at his draft spot.

Definitely he is what he was advertised to be regarding injuries. They knew what they were getting.

So would I...great guy, GOOD player but just too small and fragile. So what does Jerrah do? EXTENDS him.....just another reason this franchise is so sub par. He should NEVER have been extended. Add him to the list: Spencer, Ware, Romo, Austin,etc.....just one putrid deal after another. Keep up the good work JERRAH!

Love Sean Lee to death, however, minimally, the Cowboys need to have a reasonable backup to play behind Lee.

I think you have to "plan" on Lee playing 8-12 games and "hope" he can play the entire season.

Yea he is a good guy & apparently a team leader. I question the extension too but was not surprised.

Don't you think that this would have been Jimmy's (Johnson) decision, rather than Jerry's?

Sean Lee determined to play in all Cowboys games

Sean Lee's inability to stay on the field in Dallas served as the fatal Jenga piece for a Cowboys defense that crumbled to bits in 2013.

Sidelined by hamstring and neck injuries, the team's top linebacker missed five games down the stretch, capping a fourth consecutive campaign with fewer than 16 starts. With his health looming as a key offseason storyline for the 'Boys, Lee told The Dallas Morning News on Saturday that he's on the mend.

"Neck's getting better," he said. "It's on its way. I should be ready to go. I think we'll evaluate it more as the year goes on or the next couple months. But I should be ready for everything this offseason and be fine for next year."

Lee's streaky durability curtailed what arguably would have been an All-Pro campaign for one of the game's premier middle 'backers. Aware of that, Lee is determined to stay on the field from wire-to-wire for the first time as a pro in 2014.

Love Sean Lee

Hate statements like this

btw, I am determined to NOT slip on the ice when I walk down the steps in the winter....will I make it? uncertain, as soon as I let my guard down, then the sliding begins...but, keeping my guard up means that I take a lot more time to get down the steps....thus, trying to avoid my injury, I change my game plan....doesn't get me to work any sooner.....
