Oft-injured Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee missed five games down the stretch with neck and hamstring problems. He's determined to play from wire-to-wire for Dallas in 2014.

It truly is a shame and saddens me to know that this guy is reaching china doll status... He had so much promise coming out of college. Man... I hope he turns this pattern around next year.

This is the prime example of the old adage DONT LEAD WITH YOUR HEAD.

Stupid and silly play. I would find something else if you are trying to tout his toughness.

He was on the ground already. He didnt lean in with his head, players momentum drove him into Lee.

He was an over-achiever at Penn State, too.

He's been given a big chance to make it work, but I think the team has to fill his roster spot this season with a rookie.

Let Lee and the new starter split playing and lets see if he can stay healthy.

If he can, great.

If not, then we are making efforts to move on.

Yeah right. There's no rookie in that class that could beat Sean lee out. Maybe Bruce carter. That's the LB I'm worried about, not lee.

Two whole threads huh? An exhausting bibliography. I didn't even read all the post above so I don't know what lit your candle. But believe what you will.

I have no issue with you or your post so maybe I should have directed my reply elsewhere. I have an issue with someone posting something that I know is patently false and then tells someone to look it up on Google when he's asked for a little something to back up his claim. I don't think that's too much to ask for.

My problem is people making a certain claim that fundamentally changes the facts of what actually happened and inserts Jerry in the mix when his role was probably minimal at that point in time with how this team was built. Poor Jerry wasn't criticized with regards to Smith and we didn't rue his release even when he was successful. Why? Because we were winning Superbowls. No one gave a damn about Jimmy Smith and Jerry wasn't some misunderstood and maligned GM in the early 90's that made a tough call.

He's just not physically built to play MLB. However, another year on the HGH may change things.

Its not unreasonable to think that for players like Carter Hatcher, Ware, Romo, but a guy who plays the way Lee does its unreasable to think he wont be in every tackle that is near him. Thats just the way he plays, 100% all the time. It just happens that the bears players thigh hit Lee flush in the head.

I think Lee, Bryant, and Murray are 3 of the most physical players there are and it causes them injury problems and they're gonna miss some time they just need to cut it down to a couple games instead of the 5 game streaks and learn how to get healthy in December.

Sean lee should be a cautionary tale of picking injured college players but we continue to draft injured players as if these guys will magically shake the injury bug, some players just cant stay healthy .

Sean Lee played 26 games straight at one point in college so it's not too crazy to think he can put together a good couple seasons. Drafting him wasn't so bad IMO but I do question the contract.

Sean Lee's fluke injuries and Bruce Carter's sudden drop off is why I wouldn't be opposed to drafting an ILB round 1. Front 7 is the priority.

Lee is a beast. It's a shame he's fragile. But when heathy he is in the mix on almost every single play 110%. I think that has a lot to do why he's always injured.

Heard the same thing last offseason. The guy would be all-pro if he could make it through a season.

I believe London Fletcher was in the middle of every play. So was Ray Lewis....and Patrick Willis, and many more

I like the guy, but we all KNOW this isn't going to happen.

Would he be better off as a weak side backer in this scheme?

Players should not stick out their necks this way.

But, as to mein point, was China Doll Sean not determined to play a full year the past two seasons?

o_OFragile beast:confused:

This.

Like Austin..great when healthy.. just NFL..

..not for long.

I mean, you have to be careful of taking too many flyers on players like this.

When you show you can't play but half a season..4 years in a row..

when does the door start to close?

The Cowboys took a gamble on him by drafting him & they got what was advertised.

An injury prone guy who has a great upside if he's playing. If.

I'd be shocked if he doesn't miss multiple games as usual.
