I agree with a lot of these posts in this thread but I don't want to echo the same negative vibe. Sean is what he is. A top 5 linebacker for 10-14 games a season and injured for the other 2-6. You really do need to invest a draft pick in his backup if you're committed to this player... Sean's injury is usually when the doom part comes along for our defense.

This is a new one. Can you show me a thread where Jerry's been bashed for releasing Jimmy Smith?

I'm not going to look but I solemnly promise you that there have been at least posts along this line. Not sure about threads.

Whatever Jerry has done and then some he gets blamed for. Some of it is well deserved though.

They've definitely committed to him financially, but I agree that the team should probably count on him playing for 10-14 games and draft a high-level backup, who can start.

There's no need to look. This "whole forum" has NEVER bashed Jerry for releasing Jimmy Smith....Never. I'll even go out on a limb and say I don't recall ever reading a post where Jerry was bashed for releasing Jimmy Smith, probably because most people knew that was on Jimmy. We've had discussions here about Jimmy Smith's release and you can probably find them int he "what if" threads. Jerry wasn't even whipped with a feather for it because the common theme for the release of Jimmy Smith was Jimmy Johnson.

Well I guess that makes two of us Mr.Lee, unfortunately though I think I have a better shot then you to play in all 16 games ... and I'm not even on the team. :D

Go look it up on google.

OK. I'll do your job for you. No Jones bashing in either threads, not even in the rue thread. There are other threads about his arrest and I don't think I saw one post where Jerry was bashed. Most people here know better. They know what picks, cuts and hires Jerry had a hand in. He's not some universal victim that's been given a bum rap. He gets no more blame for cutting Smith than he gets credit for building a dynasty since since he had minimal involvement in both with the exception of signing the checks.

Two whole threads huh? An exhausting bibliography. I didn't even read all the post above so I don't know what lit your candle. But believe what you will.
