I wonder if 49ers fans wants to pay Purdy now. They weren't happy with him in the Packers game and were debating a QB competition this year.
They’ll still pay him because they have nothing behind him. You can’t live in the moment with QBs. His overall season has been real solid.

How will they keep the team around him?

They already look like they're on a slide. They don't wanna slide even worse.

They’ll figure out a way just like all teams do that have to pay their QB. If you check Purdy‘s numbers this season he’s been real good. Too many of you live in the moment with QBs. As soon as they have a bad game or make a critical mistake with a game on the line, some of you are ready to move on from them.

If any franchise is proactive about their QB situation, it's SF. They are never content and satisfied based on past performances. Both Kap and Jimmy G were replaced less than 2 years after their Super Bowls. Used a ton of draft capital on Trey Lance and moved on from him quick. It's one thing their front office does very well. Find that next QB that can be plugged in and keep the train moving.

Purdy will definitely be an interesting decision. I think he's a lot like Kap and Jimmy G in the sense he's good enough to run their system and pile up wins and some playoff success. But not good enough to get their end goal of a Super Bowl. All of their guys are missing that ability to make that one play to seal the deal. Every Super Bowl they lost, they just needed one play. All of those guys are smoke and mirrors. The talent and coaching schemes prop them up but eventually, they get exposed.

Well...let's see after he gets his weapons back but hes been looking extremely frustrated and sad lately. Wonder if that has gotten to him because he looks like he's about to cry.

Montana and Young 5-0 in Super Bowls.

Kaep and Brockolo 0-3.

Is this a coincidence?
