I feel pretty certain that the 49ers would not have beaten us 42-19 at home.

At that time, I don’t think it would make a difference. Our defense was getting abused and the offense was still finding its feet without some of our OL starters. Now, I think we can give them a game.

That does not mean anything.
Common opponents records come into play. And if they lose to Seattle, and we beat the Jets, they lost to them. We have that for us.

We win, we are tied...no 1/2 game crap.
Seattle can beat Philly, we can beat Bills...we are then 1 game ahead.

Except tiebreakers matter. If you finish with the same record then it matters. So yes it is a 1.5 game lead because, and I did a lot of the playoff sims to make sure I am not crazy, if they have the same record, the Eagles win the division so Cowboys need to win next week and then need another team to beat them, specifically Seattle because the Giants are not beating anyone.
