CowboysZone DIEHARD Fan
I wasn't able to watch the game as I do not have Peacock.....but why is it that every time Cowboys fans need Green Bay to beat one of our division rivals, they lose? Every stinking time!! It's almost like GB does it on purpose to pizz us off!! LOL
I have a friend who is a GB fan, and he's always telling me to "please don't root for GB today!!"

Nothing really. It's a new year. The Cowboys have an alarming pattern that I hope they break at some point. If they get down early and have trouble moving the ball, they never recover. It's not just against good teams. Arizona last year. Denver a year or two ago. The Saints with Bridgewater at QB. There are many examples. The Jets with Sam Darnold for crying out loud!! It's been a recurring theme for years.
That is due mostly to a defense that can't stop a team. The offense should not have to score every possession to win the game. When is the defense ever going to carry us when the offense is off??? Never happens. Why do we get down early??? Because the other team gets the ball first and marches right down the field most games.

I don't give the Eagles Brownie Points for losing the Super Bowl. Besides a couple of seasons, the Eagles have had their share of disappointing seasons where they didn't live up to all of the hype and expectations they were crowned with. Last season they were crowned at 10-1, just to end up losing 6 out of their last 7 games. And still when the two teams have matched up on the field, the Eagles haven't been dominating the series or the division like some on this forum keep on saying that they would.

Overall they still have managed one more Super Bowl win in nearly ten years. Despite the amount of times they were crowned early in the season as a team who either would win the Super Bowl or dominate the NFC year in and year out.

Super Bowls are what matters the most and the Eagles only have one, despite the amount of times they have been deemed an unstoppable force based off of some regular season games or how they build their roster,.

Brownie points? Dude you are minimizing the value of getting to a Super Bowl.

You would not be saying the same stuff if it was the cowboys who made it to the Super Bowl.

I truly mean no offense but your post just reeks of somebody who wants to minimize the eagles post season success in order to make the cowboys look better.

You mean when is the offense going to carry us in an offensive-driven league when the defense is off? Did the 49ers score every drive the last two playoffs before last year?

Hurts is what we thought. Hot and cold, streaky run option 1 read QB. He will panic and make turnovers. That hasn't changed. Barkley is what he has been, a great RB when healthy. Eagles D is what we all thought, overrated and soft. We can beat them. GB should have won that game if Love was healthy. Zimmers D should feast when we play each other. I'm more worried about GB again if Love is healthy. That Reed kid is Great.

I thought Hurts was incredibly unimpressive last night.

He made some absolutely horrible decisions and some absolutely dog **** throws that showed his lack of arm strength.

Last night was the perfect example of how he is a product of the amazing receivers, OL and running game the eagles have.

The dude cannot make tight window throws down the field, at all.

Agreed these guys who pretend to have disdain for teams that "only went to the super bowl" when all we do is get reamed several rounds away from the SB is pathetic. It's like a hobo complaining about a house because it only has one jacuzzi meanwhile they live in a box in the woods

...my thoughts on both these teams. NFC is open for taking. Given how SF and Det play.

Philly is not good as they were. Offense looks vanilla. Bright spot is Barkley. Defense is spotty.

GB did not look like the team that beat Dallas last year.

Will see where it goes.
Unfortunately all of the games count the same, sloppy or crisp. 1-0 is 1-0. Cowboys need to beat the Browns. Sloppy, if need be.

Well sure, but our defense hasn't always been crap all game. Why can't we move the ball against the Cardinals? They weren't scoring on every drive. In our playoff games against the 49ers, they weren't lighting up the scoreboard. We couldn't score 20 points. We scored 12. We struggled to move the ball against the Packers until the game was already decided. The Packers didn't have to score 48 points. Game was over when they scored 24.

There was one dramatic difference from last year. Our scheme was so bad that if you watched the Bucs playoff game, they just blitzed us all day and we could do nothing off of it.

If Kellen Moore gives us anything, it’s this: All 9 times the Packers blitzed us all night

Hurts is in year 5 and making rookie mistakes. If that continues throughout this year, then he is what he is. But still, he can make plays. Brown and Smith duo are the best in the league. They can make anyone look awesome. Bottom line, last years eagles would have lost that game, but they did enough to win a tough road game against a quality opponent and overcame their turnovers. Saquan is the truth when healthy and will be to the eagles what CMC is to the 49ers. Eagles defense held the packers 1 for 4 in the redzone, that didn't happen last year, so there is that. Oh, its only week 1 , so can't glean anything for real until week 5 or 6.

Jordan Davis was MIA, linebacker play was suspect, safety play was suspect….Carter did some things in the passing game but yeah just the first game so hard to really know what to expect for the season.
LBer play was incredible for the Eagles! But that's just good LBer play for the rest of the NFL cause Philly has always been atrocious at LBer play. That new LBer their D coordinator has been raving about was all over the field last night. 15 tackles and two sacks. Dean made some nice had tackles too but struggled in zone coverage. I thought the LBer play was really good for Philly. The one thing that D is missing is a prime time DE
