Tony Romo is expected to miss about eight weeks after fracturing his left clavicle in Sunday's win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Dallas Cowboys could place the quarterback on IR/designated-to-return.

Romo should go on IR/DFR. That frees up a roster spot to carry 3 QBs or an additional defender when Ro. McClain and Greg Hardy return.

It depends on what the other scans come back with. If the injury is more severe then I would agree with you but if it's not as bad he could be back earlier.

anybody have an idea on when the club is going to talk about Romo's prognosis? When is the Monday press conference?

Stephan Jones said later today they'll know for sure. He mentioned Dez could be back after the BYE week...

While this sucks. Dallas is fortunate it happened early in the season. Glad it didn't happen in the post season if Dallas makes it. I do think they can steady the ship and do some good damage if and when Dez and Romo get back. I am just hoping this injury monster looming over Dallas leaves now.

Gregory was an optimistic 2-4 weeks with a good chance to be 4-6. Dez is an optimistic 4-6 with a good chance to be 6-8. Romo is an optimistic 8 weeks.

Long term injuries with a short roster. Gotta give relief somewhere.

Based on the Cowboys history with anticipating the return of injured players, the safe bet is to go with the long return date. Gregory 6 weeks, Dez 8-10 and Romo 8-10. THat way you are disappointed when they miss the games we anticipated them to return by according to the FO.
