A great edge rusher can be controlled. The Raiders defense is not dominant at all, and he's been there how long?

He is in his third year and has his 2nd double sack season already (protip: You should take the time to get to know the players you are discussing). Oh btw what is the way you control an edge rusher? You double him. You call that control. I call that tilting the ball in your favor on every single passing down. He's at a sack in 8 games and counting. 4 strip sacks. 3 of which he recovered himself.

Zeke is much better than David Johnson, who is a very good back, but not nearly as complete.

You don't have any evidence of this other than Zeke plays for your favorite team. And if we're talking about 'completeness'...well Johnson thus far kind of blows Zeke away as a receiver. At least based on productivity. He's also a better athlete than Zeke and it's obvious in pads.

And Dallas has just scratched the surface with Elliott.

Elliot is only a 2nd year player. It's not as if we're discussing apples and oranges.

He's infinitely better than McFadden, and much more polished than Murray. Yards are such a miniscule part of it all.

Agreed. But they both still faced loaded boxes to almost the same degree. That tells you defenses are putting extra men in the box because of our lineman not because of our RB. And you cannot disprove this. In fact the evidence directly disproves you.

Elliott MAXIMIZES what this offensive line can do in so many ways. McFadden just fell forward in gaping holes. He's average at best. Murray left massive yardage on the field and gave up the ball.

Yards per carry:

Zeke (2016): 4.9
Mcfadden (2015): 4.6
Murray (2014): 4.7

Now don't get me wrong. Zeke is much better than Darren or Murray. But to suddenly suggest he's doing something so much better than Murray and Mcfadden that defenses suddenly have to completely rework how they have defended us the last two years simply isn't true.

IT's not true. And wanting it to be true won't make it so.

If Zeke has the career that Smith had then by all means let's keep him.

I'm playing the odds. It is more likely that Mack turns into Ware than Zeke turns into Smith.

And Mack's position is just more important and harder to fill and more expensive and less injury prone.

Zeke for Mack is about as easy a trade as a GM could make.

Ah, HELL NO!!!!
