Yes, I agree that had the Cowboys recovered Cobb's fumble on the kick-return it would have been likely over, however, when it comes down to it fumble recoveries, the craziness and mystery of what happens inside of the big piles that occur after a fumble, etc basically can be chalked to a lot of random factors, luck, and being in the right place at the right time.

In summary, the fumble recovery would have maybe sealed the victory, however, you can't exactly fault anybody not recovering it, so it ends up as the third most critical play of the game for me after the Murray Fumble, and the Bailey missed FG. (Not counting the Dez non-catch).

That's it in a nutshell. The cluster at the end of the first half (fumbled snap with Romo heaving a deep incomplete to Terrance Williams, stopping the clock, Bailey missing not one, but two kicks after getting a reprieve on the first miss due to a penalty), the Murray fumble and Hanna letting that ball slip through his fingers are the reason why they lost the game. It was all right there for them to win it.

I was sitting in the corner of the end zone where the Dez catch happened. Also had a great view of the Red Sea parting on the run that Murray fumbled on.

Curious what was the crowd around you saying on the Dez play? Where they screaming for a challenge or moaning the expected loss?

* Although I like Scandrick's tenacity and chippiness, I have never considered him a top ten corner. I think he's our best corner and probably in the top 25% in the league which should be good enough for us. He needs some help.

I'm on record this past season saying I think Scandrick is the best slot CB in the entire NFL. I'm not so sure any more.

Cobb is quite possibly the best slot WR in the NFL. If Scandrick wants to be considered the best he has to play well against the best. I haven't watched the All-22 film so I can't definitively pin every catch Cobb had in his vicinity on him, however, for the most part to my untrained eye he looked overmatched.

* Terrance Williams was incredible the entire post season.

Thanks for reminding me of this. Yes, Williams totally maximized his opportunities.

I often sit back and Wonder how Williams would do as a WR1. Many of his catches are uncontested and he has a lot of open space in front of him. He is definitely benefiting from having Dez and Witten on the field.

Most people thought it was a catch. Even the Packer fans around me that were saying it was an incomplete were laughing and not able to be serious in stating it. I have to say that the Packer fans at the game were great to be around. I have never met friendlier opposing fans in my life.

Scandrick was poor in the game. Sterling Moore was absolutely roasted in that game, and he played himself off the roster with his performance.

I agree with us. I, too, was at the game and the hospitality by the GB fans is completely unheard of. Everyone super friendly and didn't send many jabs and when they did they didn't feel as holistic as those from Philly, Pitt, and Denver.

There were quite a few Cowboys fans there that actually lived there. Was shocked.

It's the Upper Midwest. It goes with the territory.

I live in the Midwest and sometimes some of co-workers (usually salespeople) who fly in to do business from the East / West coasts actually tell me they have difficulty dealing with the overall level of niceness from folks in the Midwest -- that it actually comes across a bit fake to them.

I don't believe it is fake, however, since I've also lived in the East Coast (New Jersey) I can see how the Upper Midwest can be jarring.

I have lived in the deep south for most of my life (either Texas, Louisiana, or Mississippi) and as you probably know, most people down here are very polite and really watch what they say and how they say it.

Well, while I was in college I dated a girl who was from NY and had pretty recently moved down here with her family. All of her brothers and sisters, as well as both her parents were pretty abrasive people if you didn't know them. They realized that their behavior was fairly caustic for down here, but that is how they were and said they couldn't change.

My GF's older brother always told me about what went on in NYC and how people would yell at each other and then just go on their way. He said that if someone got in your way in the street, people would just scream at them to "Get out the the way *** hole!" and then everyone would just go on their way.

Well, one day he was driving down a fairly busy street here and some country boy was walking across the street and the brother thought he was taking his sweet time. So, he yelled out the window, "Hurry up *** hole, we don't have all ******* day!"

The guy walked over to the brother's car and pulled him out of the car window and commenced to whooping his *** all up and down a busy road.

He didn't even have time to put the car in park because he never expected the guy to pull him out of the car. His mustang just drove right on without him, until it hit another car.

I lol'ed my butt off.

He ended up taking the guy to court.

So, he basically learned that, while it was ok up there to do that sort of thing... down here, they're fighting words. If you curse at another grown man and are rude as crap... you better be prepared to fight because it is a coin flip if the guy is going to smash your face or not.

Ahem, I have a new sig now. Can we start a fund for Blandino?

Poor guy can't read or write the rule that was written regarding catches. It's kind of sad actually.

I watched the game on TV and I didn't notice you in the crowd. You didn't stand out at all.

I suppose that means we can rule out any bio-luminescence.

LOL

I was the guy in the white Cowboy jersey. Being small, I blended in - just like in the water.

It's disgusting how Blandino took away the CATCH, the inevitable touchdown, and the drama that would have taken place in the last 4 minutes.

BLANDINO ENDED THE COWBOYS SEASON, WITHOUT ANY JUSTIFICATION IN THE RULE BOOK.

You're full of it if you think I would find a way to pin that game on Romo. Knock off the agenda it's getting old.

@KJJ

You are right, your agenda is getting old! You specifically said "Romo could not even beat a one legged Rodgers".

So, yeah, knock if off! It must suck for you to be caught red handed! lol

Great story. So what was the final outcome of the court case?
