I think the fact that Adam Schefter first reported this "story" tells you all you need to know about the legitimacy of it. After all, didn't he report that there was a Dez video that showed Dez beating up a woman in a Wal-Mart parking lot? Funny how no video was found.

The story is probably legit in the sense that the NFLPA is conducting some sort of investigation, but I don't believe there's anything to be found or they will have any success in establishing wrong doing.

A 33 year old Andre Johnson is not setting a market for wide receivers in their prime such as Dez or Demaryius. Neither is a 30 year old Dwayne Bowe who hasn't had a 1000 yard season in over 4 years and has only 4 TD receptions over the last 2 years with 0 last year.

That is why they were lumped into a list of a bunch of WRs. One player doesn't make trend, but when all the top guys are either getting lesser deals or aren't even coming close to completing their contracts it gets noticed. Name one WR that has broken the bank lately and the team is happy about it.

well 20 years goes back into SB years lol
since 1997 last 18 years, they have had 9 playoff games and are 2-7

they are 2-4 with romo , winning 2 WC games

Twenty years ago puts us at 1995. The 1995 season is when Dallas last won a Superbowl(played in 1996).

I keep telling you folks that Jerry and his son are playing with fire. if Dez is forced to play this year under the franchise tag. you may not get the same Dez. so be careful what you wish for. something like this could destroy the season.

If he played well all year and had a "calf injury" in week 14 that ended his season I wouldn't blame him one bit. Business is business.

Last year was the contract year for him. and the cowboys have refuse to pay him what he thinks he is worth. what makes you think it will be any different next year no matter what he does? they could franchise him again.i have a bad feeling we won't be getting the same Dez this year if he plays under that tag.

If he can't perform up to expectations due to playing under the Tag, that would indicate that he is mentally weak. If he is mentally weak, then they should not sign him to a mega-contract with huge guaranteed money.
