Not to the extent Roy does.
Now there's a statement that can be backed up by irrefutable fact. So, you mean to tell me that Roy Williams goes out of his way to tackle this way. I know that's not what you said, but that's essentially what you're saying.
He does this on a regular basis.....
I've seen every single game Roy Williams has played in the NFL....including Preseason....I can tell you he doesn't tackle this way in a regular basis.
Horsecollar tackling isn't dirty....again, every single player has used it at one time or other...especially when you're behind the guy.
Spitting in someone's face is......
I remember watching Emmitt Smith score one of his many long TDs against the Commanders last week on the NFLN. One of the classiest players in the NFL tried to run him down and tackle him.
Guess where he grabbed Emmitt? Go ahead...guess away....
You're right.....on the collar.....Now, Emmitt was stronger than this classy player, broke the tackle and scored the TD.
The point is.......the player that tried, and failed, to bring down Emmitt with this "dirty" play was none other than
Darrell Green.....the only Commander player I liked.
Not only did he do it to Emmitt. He did it to Tony Dorsett (a great play by DG that put him on the MAP), and also to Mike Irvin.
I guess Green's just a dirty player.
Anyone else remember these plays? Especially the Dorsett one?
