I don't care if he was making them on top of Everest, the guy can kick
Well you should care.

We don't exactly play every game in Mile High next year and watching Crosby's kickoffs constantly sail only to the five yard line would make you change your tune real quick.

Goose said Crosby's leg was weak at the Combine. There were several kickers, including Folk, who were getting better distance.

Elevation was clearly helping him.

Yes, and I contacted the team about him.

Since you are in AZ did you watch him play ? Got any first-hand info on him ?

You mean just like every kicker at every level in the history of the game?

Here's the stats on the guy last year 17-28(60.7%)

That's with the elevation of Colorado helping him.

He has a rocket launcher for a right leg. His kickoff average is 64 yards, 1 short of the best possible of 65. That means he puts everything into the endzone.

He kicked a 48 yard FG with 4 seconds left to beat BYU to start the season. It would have been good from over 60 yards. It was way above the crossbar.

He can punt. He averaged nearly 50 yards per punt for most of the 2006 season.

It's good value. He will be here for a long time.

Serious question Hos, does this guy stand a chance to make the final 53?
Without a doubt. He will outperform Martin.

Do you think we cut Gramatica? Is he good enough to replace him or is he a KO specialist?

I think Martin is probably gonzo.

The college tee makes a world of difference, both on place kicks and kickoffs. This is why a guy like Crosby will struggle in workouts and perhaps at the NFL level.

The difference is night and day. I don't think a lot of folks understand how much so.

Had he been our kicker last year, maybe Romo makes it to the End Zone.

He's much bigger than Grammattica and it would be impossible to whiff worse

Just a thought...flame on

But, would you change your opinion on the pick if this was the case?

Great thought.....I'm sure that's why we took him.

Interesting....

Maybe if he would have been our holder, romo wouldn't have blown the playoff game by fumbling like he did 4 times the game before.
