Agree. I’m not as high on Bains as some. I get the college production but I’m not sure that’s translate to nfl where a OT has 4 inch longer arms than him. His arms are shorter than mine lol

Word is they fell in love with Lawrence at the combine.

I liked him over David Bailey before the combine. He is David Bailey, but more explosive. If Lawrence played on a team the quality of Bailey, I think he would have gotten drafted before Bailey.

If he was a "great run stopper" he goes top 10

You take people with elite upside in the top 10. So, no, he wouldn't. He is an all around good player because of his athleticism with them hoping he can build on that in the NFL.

He was never going to go top 10 because he's not outstanding as a pass rusher either.

ok from what I gather is cowboy coaches fell in love with malachi at the combine and maybe decided then
they would take him 1st round if they could, and lol they did !
I just hope he is worth it, I have no idea.

The bizarre thing is they took another edge with #92 lol

I think they would have been smarter to take rodriguez @23 or a another good lb since they had nothing in that area.
They traded for this dee guy from SF,so they are still weak at LB.

And we have now 2 new edge guys from draft who are maybe capable of starting and contributing.

I guess we just have to wait and see what defense plays like in sept.

You need numbers, especially with the longer season and the specialty packages

Having four or five guys to rotate is the current trend and adding two in the draft and also adding Gary makes total sense

Green Dot: I predict Downs wears the Green Dot.

He definitely will once he picks it up you know once he's ready but that's the thing you can't put all your eggs in one basket I was trying to tell people that yesterday think about this you can't have one guy that rears the green dot and nobody else knows how to do it I'm pretty sure Overshown is gonna get a shot and then they will somebody else three guys are going to need to do it I hope it might be a trade for Jordan Brooks or something but we got Dee Winters I don't know if he can wear the green dot..

Really can't put everything on one guy and we've seen it in the past we have had safeties under Dan Quinn that wore the green dot it's about knowing the defense being the leader being able to put people in position and being a leader by how you play and for what I understand Downs has all of that.. He's a very smart football player and I know there's a lot of stories coming out but one of them is that when he's in the nickel he's calling out the defense at Ohio State and some receivers on those other teams were saying he is yelling out what routes are about to be ran and he was right a lot of the time the guys yelling out telling his teammates what's about to come like he's reading the plays.
