I was just responding to this effect in another thread. I really like crickets attitude but I think the position is defunct on our team. Good luck to him though.

Your numbers are incorrect.... We still have our long snapper, two kickers and a punter. So we have 3 spots open if you want to keep 6 wrs. I say we just cut Stanback but he does (when healthy) play SP teams, Ogletree doesnt.....

I think DSmith is gone. He really messed up when he showed that a kicker had more speed than him. All jokes about Buehlers athleticism aside, he should have never been able to beat out smith. Mikens is a tough call. He catches everything but they are starting to call him "toast" at practice. Maybe he can stay on as a consultant to teach the other db's how to catch the ball.

Why can't a kicker that runs a 4.5 outrun a safety that runs a 4.5?

Who cares if the guy is a kicker. His 4.5 is as legitimate as any running back's or safety's 4.5.

Mickens has enough of an upside to get snatched up if he is waived. I think he's a darkhorse to make the team even though he's been ragged on badly. He will get three more games to redeem himself and I believe he will.

That's why I included him on the 53-man roster. I think Dallas will give him time to develop and won't feel comfortable trying to get him on the PS. But I do think if he continues to play like he has that putting him on the PS will be one of the things considered when the final roster cuts are made. ... Still don't see Dallas doing it, though.
