Pure speculation on your part.

No speculation at all, she admitted to having consensual sex twice with Big Ben. Big Ben never denied this. For the last time, the controversy came simply by stating the third time she told him "no" and he proceeded.

That's all it took. Two times having consensual sex, a third time claiming you denied it and the media gets behind it looking for a players head on a pike. As I said, luckily for Zeke, it didn't happen. This is mostly due to the media being called out recently for starting witch hunts over every assault accusation and being proven wrong.

You mean, second time being accused? When are you people going to realize accusations =/= fact?

Also, how about getting the dang context before hopping in the discussion? Someone questioned if the NFL would suspend off pure speculation, whether you want to admit it or not, Big Ben was suspended simply due to speculation and one girl's testimony....which didn't get him convicted of a damn thing. He was suspended for controversy.
Ok, but there was nothing in the Elliot Case an the DA knew it from the beginning. They dragged it out this long just to show that they did their due diligence. The NFL will do the same.

If this happens to Elliot again next year then I would expect that the NFL would look as a black eye regardless and microscope the whole thing. I don't know whether Ben was guilty or not because I don't know any of the facts, but he put himself into the situation more than once and after a while, where there is smoke there is fire. I will give him the benefit of the doubt, but I will not go out on a limb to defend him. I was just curious why you were?

The Rooneys were going to suspend him even if the league didn't.

The text transcripts from the Elliot case where he worries out-loud, to the women that ended up accusing him of abuse, about his upcoming drug test and the fact he is going to spend a bunch of a time in the sauna is mildly amusing.

Sounds like he was very concerned he would fail the test.

Everyone and their Granny thought the charges would be dropped eventually. Good for Zeke.

I'm a bit surprised it took as long as it did -- living proof that the wheels of justice move slowly.

When dealing with accusations like that, any investigation should be thorough and complete.

Witnesses on the scene and in the car when it was alleged to happen denied, one and all, that that was the case. Yet, it took many weeks. I would agree that the investigation should be ''thorough and complete'' but for it to take that long?? It shouldn't take that long to conclude something that three witnesses deny, especially when the accuser's claims are inconsistent to begin with. In any case, it's just my opinion. If I'm wrong, so be it.

Oh, I believed his story from the beginning, but I also believe in thorough investigations. I agree that it took way too long. They were probably trying to get the Cowboys to cut him so their team could pick him up..
