ok, if that happens, then I am good with that. let rams go to SF. they are a tougher match up for them anyway. they have played them close.

I rather play philly, but I don't think Philly makes it out of Tampa. Tampa is sneaky good. so it will be a tougher match up.
I think the 49ers toughest test is the Rams and the Ravens toughest is the Browns. Two divisional rivals who know them well.

I'd pick Tampa Bay but Mayfield is hobbled and they've put up 22 total points the last two weeks.

Do Eagles have any major injuries?

If they dont...

I dont count out grown men with talent putting issues to the side and showing up in a playoff atmostphere.

Eagles kind of worry me if they steam roll TB in first game.

Its like NBA...some of these teams with talent look awful all year...and then towards the end of the season when they realize they still have a shot at making the playoffs...the talent prevails and these teams looks a lot better than what it seemed and get in the playoffs and make a little noise.

Im not counting Philly out at all unless they have some major injuries im not aware of.

What does this mean, exactly? Three strikes and you’re out of what? Because I assure you, the cowboys will be back next season no matter what happens over the next month.

Football is entertainment. If you’re not “finding joy” in following the Cowboys, then you should probably stop, since that’s the only purpose here. Maybe that’s what you meant, you’ll stop being a fan after “three strikes?”

Similarly, I have no idea what “no excuses” means. Win or lose, there are reasons why it happens. If Aaron Jones runs over them for 200 yards because they can’t stop the run and they lose, what does it matter if that’s an “excuse” or a reason?
Sorry can’t help you out if you don’t understand go back and start again

This is the year they just have to do it. Might not get a better chance the next couple of years.

Two possible home games against very doable opponents.

Packers and TB/Eagles

Packers and TB lucked into the playoffs with a basically .500 record. Neither played great football that scares someone.

Eagles are probably the worst team in the playoffs right now and in self-destruct mode.

Cowboys have the longest home winning streak ever and are a different animal at AT&T.

We are likely healthy besides Gilmore and the guys that are out for a long time.

Zack Martin and Tyler Smith will be playing, atleast Martin. Bass has looked more than good so im not worried about Tyler Smith playing or not.

Dak and CD are clicking on an cylinders. Even Pollard looks to regain form.

Defense and ST is the only thing that has questionmarks, but there is no excuse this year to not get the monkey off our backs and reach the NFCG after almost 3 decades.
If Dallas beats GB, the next opponent could likely be Detroit.

They could just as likely be the Rams,

I mean nobody knows how these games are going but these are two very distinct matchups that the NFL loves you got Mike McCarthy having to play the Packers in a big game and you have Matthew Stafford battling out Jared Goff who they made the trade to switch and now he gets to go back into Detroit and play you don't think that's why they rested these dudes are going to be ready to play and Detroit's defense, I don't see how they're stopping that trio of wide receivers with Matthew Stafford hungry to come back home and show the fans what they're missing...

Why does everyone want to concede to SF. We are a better team than we were then. And SF is the same team, maybe even less.
49ers are a match up nightmare in my eyes. They play more physical than us and they run the ball well.

I don't like our odds against Baltimore either. Very mobile qb with a very physical defense and a solid ground game to boot.

Oh like after a very long and very educational season fans still come in here and write out a list on how each week our team should win who would might be our match up and what our exhibit expectations should be what is a week to week league and parody is like seven days a week now I don't know when they play games now Monday through Sunday, any given Suday ,should be a new should be any given game....

I mean fans just never learned to come in here with a list of expectations expecting your team to do things and you haven't really watched football this year alone if not the last decade things have changed you can't write out a list like you can't go at the beginning of the year and start penciling in W
'S& L's that's not how it works anymore...

I mean you didn't even learn from yesterday's game the first 8 minutes of the game crazy bounces some tips, a block so just weird things happening in football that can keep a team you're supposed to beat, in a game.

you can't really control it as much as you cant control the refs, those are just some weird bounces, game of inches, I mean all these narratives were created these because this is the NFL... You cannot script this stuff it's the truest of all forms of reality TV..

This is true, but it is also why they play the game. Anything can happen.

Exactly, but both of those teams expose our biggest faults.

We really need to upgrade the OL and the front 7 on defense, especially linebacker.

So you think Rams will win in Detroit? Because if Detroit wins at home we are playing them and NOT Philly/Tampa.
yes i do. Rams Experience and Offensive Weapons will prevail. Lions D aint scare nobody

Hurts is injured on his throwing hand (dislocated finger, might be broken)
AJ Brown yesterday left with a knee injury (looked like sprained or torn ACL)

They wont steam roll anyone. Just like the last 6 weeks even when healthy.

Ravens are a safe lock for the SB Game in my opinion.
If they face KC...I'm unsure.

I don't care about receivers and drama. KC has Mahomes. I take him over Jackson every time in a playoff contest.

There is a reason why any team wins or loses, I don't consider that an excuse but a reason why the results was what is was. Do I expect Dallas to get to NFCCG? Yes I also expect them to be in the SB and if they play to their ability, they can do just that.

Of course the other side of this is this is setting up perfectly to be the same old Cowboys. Be completely dominant at home, earn a path that just requires you to win at home and then fail.

Like 2007. Sweep the Giants on your way to the 1 seed then lose to the Giants in the divisional round.
You had to go there. lol

The path has never been better. There will be challenges but hopefully things will continue to fall our way.

Let's be real though, the best case scenario is that a team like the Rams knocks the Niners out. It's the reality whether we like it or not.

I haven't heard any excuses. The thing is, they have to go play the game. If they play their game, the game with the identity they've developed all year, as in, we know who we are, and go in there and set the standard, they should be fine.

I haven't heard any excuses. I've just heard them say, they know who they are. And want to play to their standard.
