There’s been many folks, talking heads and thus Zoners, who have been making excuses for the Cowboys win over the Vikings saying Minnesota lost the game because they gave up on the run. The Vikings did give up on the run,,,,,because they had to. Take the first drive for the Vikings. A 3 yard run and a 4 yard run and then the Parsons strip sack on a passing down. They didn’t give up on the run, they had to pass to get a first down. Next thing you know it was 13 - 3 and the Cowboys were dominating both offensively and defensively. Any coach worth their salt knows that the momentum was in the Cowboys favor. They were dominating both lines of scrimmage. The Vikings knew their only chance was to try and get chunk yards passing. They weren’t going to win on the ground with the way the Cowboys offense was playing. The Cowboys never punted in the 1st half.

Why Zoners would try to make excuses for the opposing team is beyond belief. It’s sad.

Rocky, my friend, I don't know what you are talking about. Maybe you should have given a few examples of people doing what you are saying rather than just saying it and expecting folks here to just believe you because you say so.

This game was a great example of how good we can be when everybody does their job and we don't shoot ourselves in the foot.

All phases of the game performed in harmony to the point that the league couldn't even use the refs to manipulate the game to make it close.

They tried before the half but our kicker was so good he kicked two 60 yd field goals in a row to put the points on the board.

You know you're really playing well when it's such a lopsided game the league shuts you off and puts on another game.

There's no excuses here we took one of the top two teams in the league and stopped a mud hole in their behind.

We need this momentum to continue on Thanksgiving to give us the edge in the division over the Giants this is an important game coming up.

That’s exactly my point. Why can’t we all just enjoy this win? What part of my post don’t you understand!

Another guy who didn't celebrate the win, instead hurried to the site to post about the game.
Relax, have a coke and some rum, and a smile.

We don't have to jump on here and beat our chest telling everyone how we are right and they are wrong.

My goodness Rocky I'm enjoying it as much as I possibly can.
That was a very pivotal game and a statement that if we come in prepared and everyone does their job we can beat anybody in the league.

What I hope is that this makes a lasting impression on the players and the coaches that this is the type of preparation and commitment to excellence that you have to have every week if you are going to advance in the playoffs.

In the playoffs you don't get a mulligan like we had against the Packers and then everybody gets pissed off gets their act together and puts together a good game You're just sitting watching the rest of the teams play like we were after the 49ers game.

If we want to move on and be successful we must be able to put together games like this CONSISTENTLY!!!!! Not just after we get spanked by a team we should have beaten.

And this starts with DISCIPLINE!!! Play avoiding The stupid avoidable penalties.
False starts blocks in the back unsportsmanlike conduct.

We have the talent if we remain consistent and disciplined we can go deep into the playoffs.

Now give me an amen my brother and get back to chastising the rest of this fan base lol

Rockport is correct. We've all seen several posters come out and make excuses for the Vikings performance/loss to our Cowboys. Why? Hmm...just look at who those posters are and realize they either don't like Dak, some aspects of this team, Coach Mike McCarthy, Jerry & Sons or are dead tired of 27+ years of not even reaching a conferencechampionship game, so they refuse to give credit where credit is due.

The only person not enjoying the win appears to be yourself. Rather Pom-Pom the Dak-Haters rather than discuss the game.

As for your point, you've done another Redzone Rocky. One of the reasons for the ease in which we beat the Vikings WAS the abandonment of the run. Many aspects combine for a win, something you fail to grasp with your simplistic adoration of certain players over team effort.

You admit yourself that they'd abandoned the run after going down 13-3 but up to that point (1Q +40 seconds) they had run for 45 yards (we were hardly dominating the line). Now check out what GB did to claw back 14 pts in the 3rd/4th.....they didnt abandon the run, they used it to set up the pass.

We werent dominating the line of scrimmage.....we were dominating the line ON PASSING DOWNS. The Vikings played into our hands.

There are several Pom-Pom'ers (@CATCH17, i'm using your copyright) on both poles of the Dak debate.

This was undoubtably one of the most complete games we've played (and yes Dak ran a brilliant game, even KM removed that dig play that doesnt seem to be working)....however the run defense wasnt tested and WAS a contributory factor, any team wanting to beat us HAS TO RUN AT US and not allow us to pass rush on 3rd downs.

Once again the "Team" carried Dak with a perfect performance all around.
My doubts are when things aren't perfect for Prescott and he starts stinking up the house again.
Let's all hope they can carry him all the way to the SB.....

Why a grown man would run and hide after a bad loss to GB only to never stop posting after a good win is beyond belief.

I don’t know why everything has to be so extreme around here
All things mention can be true

Dak played great
We imposed our will and
The Vikings gave up on our Achilles heel sooner than they had to.
I don’t get why that little detail is that frikken important
The last 2 minutes of first half and our first possession of second half somewhat cemented the need for them to pass more but they had opportunities earlier that they chose to pass instead of their run and I believe that was a mistake
On to the giants
