No excuses for the Vikings

We understand why our fans may disappear after a loss.... we love the Dallas Cowboys.

But what's puzzling is why certain "Cowboys fans" disappear after wins, but post daily after losses..... can anybody make that make sense??

Just as puzzling as members disappearing after a loss.

Well I know exactly what the OP is talking about....

One special poster here had the nerve to try and discredit what Dak did against the Vikings defense by saying their secondary is ranked 28th or 29th..... okay, cool.

Now many here have ranked Kyler Murray, Tua, Aaron Rodgers and Josh Allen above Dak. No problem.... as a matter of fact, many have said that Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers are elite.. There's no argument from me there.

Guess what though..... if this Vikings secondary was sooooo horrible, why was Dak able to do what 2 other elite quarterbacks and two higher ranked quarterbacks couldn't do and beat this "29th ranked secondary"??

Surely Rodgers, Allen, Murray, and Tua are capable of carving up a weak secondary, correct??? I mean, if Dak could do it....
This is where Rocky and from that post yourself don't appreciate the team element. You're basically comparing QB's in a vacuum without appreciating running games, defenses or game situation, nothing anything other than Dak.
Our running game had killed their defense, which allowed Dak to play the game that he plays so well....give Dak a running game and he's one of the best QB's in the league.

There are a few Anti-Dak poster's, but there are as many fans that are equally hyperbolic about Dak's abilities and won't accept any weaknesses in his game.

Rockport is correct. We've all seen several posters come out and make excuses for the Vikings performance/loss to our Cowboys. Why? Hmm...just look at who those posters are and realize they either don't like Dak, some aspects of this team, Coach Mike McCarthy, Jerry & Sons or are dead tired of 27+ years of not even reaching a conferencechampionship game, so they refuse to give credit where credit is due.
When AC joins forces with you...you KNOW it's just a chest thumping, holier-than-thou, internet tough guy rock 'em sock 'em dust up.

These types are getting pretty desperate to keep up the schitck. They have to make up things in their heads (or pick up the tiniest, worthless minutia) just to keep the dream alive.

Oh I definitely appreciate the team element.

But others don't add the team element in losses.... the losses are all placed on Dak. So I have the right to toss out the team element when we win.

Dak is not perfect and damn sure ain't elite, but.....

How about the times we loss games with damn near 20 penalties, missed kicks, dropped balls, defense allows 200+ yards rushing and can't get off the field on 3rd downs??? Those aren't Dak's fault, but he still gets blamed. So yeah.... I'll forget about the "team element" for wins, just like many here forget about it for losses.

The only person not enjoying the win appears to be yourself. Rather Pom-Pom the Dak-Haters rather than discuss the game.

As for your point, you've done another Redzone Rocky. One of the reasons for the ease in which we beat the Vikings WAS the abandonment of the run. Many aspects combine for a win, something you fail to grasp with your simplistic adoration of certain players over team effort.

You admit yourself that they'd abandoned the run after going down 13-3 but up to that point (1Q +40 seconds) they had run for 45 yards (we were hardly dominating the line). Now check out what GB did to claw back 14 pts in the 3rd/4th.....they didnt abandon the run, they used it to set up the pass.

We werent dominating the line of scrimmage.....we were dominating the line ON PASSING DOWNS. The Vikings played into our hands.

This is a case where he wants to hate on good fans and forum members MORE than he wants to just enjoy the game. He has a serious MO of picking fights.

You are very perceptive!

one more added and it becomes the “axis of feeble”?

Sorry, I couldn’t stop myself

j/k

Go ahead and call out names. You won't be benched. I see it here everyday. Give us some names because I don't see it.
USArmyVet (I am SURE he won;t mind that I mentioned him!) made a comment after "someone" claimed "dak really tore them up".

Mr. Vet put out some factual stats...that were...well pretty modest. Now...that doesn't change the fact that dak had a VERY nice game, many said one of the best they've seen in quite some time...and I think Mr. Vet said as much.

A couple other people said "we know he CAN do it...just has to be more consistent"...and that is a real fact as well.

Certain entities didn't like the facts presented.

(Note: If anyone wants to quote me as being a "dak hater"...please be sure to quote my entire comment and not cherry pick)

I guess it’s hard for some of Daks personal fans to understand but we as fans all have different expectations of the players. For a player to command 20% of the cap burden and be anointed the “Franchise”, some of us have to see a game played just like Dak played on Sunday

we’ve been waiting for this moment and we desperately want to see him CONSISTENTLY do this

If one paid attention, nobody said after the game that they wanted to see a Mahomes of Allen like performance. They didn’t complain that Dak didn’t have 375 yards and 4 TDs

we saw Dak play the perfect game for THE TEAM. It’s his winning formula and when the OC calls these kinds of games, Dak usually flourishes.

I believe I can speak for the majority of Dak critics that we would be ECSTATIC ago see Dak as MVP in a SB win hoisting the Lombardi……….I’d even settle for a NFC Championship game appearance

Well that goes both ways.... you, Pappy, and about 4 or 5 others post MUCH less after Cowboys victories with Dak under center. You all also come across as "disappointed" when Dak leads us to victories and make up excuses as to why we won the game.

The funniest thing ever is hearing the blame our quarterback gets for defensive lapses for losing a 14 lead. That's THEEE dumbest thing I have EVER heard in my life.
"come across as..."?

LOL...good one. Translation:

"I'm gonna PERCEIVE them as disappointed so i can FIGHT!"

Anytime I attempt to post stats I get attacked as a troll and hater by those that use emotions......and I find it funny so now I will embrace the approach as some on here are so easily triggered when anyone critiques Dak.

Regardless, it's just sports not real life so have a blessed holiday tomorrow with your family my brother.

"No excuses for the Vikings".

I don't blame you Rocky. Probably best to save up them excuses for the playoffs....

Heads up- let’s lay off the “call outs” and insults. There’s lots of Cowboys stuff to talk about - good or bad- without calling out members and throwing hand grenades in here.

Are you going to call out Rock and others for disappearing after a Dallas loss too?
No. It’s natural to be pissed after a loss by your team and not wanting to deal with ***holes or anything team related.

Not wanting to deal with “your team” winning and dominating? What’s that about?

The only excuse I would give MIN is having an inexperienced HC who was too dependent on close wins and thought his team’s come from behind in BUF and the Cowboys collapse in the 4Q were trends.

He also did not take into consideration the “McCarthy Payback Effect”. I think his players really like him and felt bad for letting him down and not preserving the win. I don’t think there was any game he wanted to win so badly and that showed at the end of that game.

The Vikings HC failed to identify and prepare his team for what was coming to town.

I hear you AC there's always a couple but it's the same couple and it's kind of like living next to a train after a while you just don't hear it anymore.

So I'm like why create a threat about it and bring attention to them

Most here picked Dallas to win. I know I did.
Awesome outing. Blew those suckers out.

A real example of how a good team can be great on a given Sunday and how a good team can be awful on a given Sunday.
Don't freak out about being the only team to lose to GB in 6 weeks and don't freak out about blowing out the Vikings

All the credit goes to Dallas. Fairly important win for us.

Just a reminder......They still have a FOUR game lead in their division after winning a big one on the road at Buffalo the previous week..
4 game lead....That has to be close to a record after only 10 games.
No game is meaningless, but that was about as close as it gets for them. We acknowledge that if we are honest without discrediting our own team

Still, huge blowout for our team and this does not excuse Minnesota's hapless, pathetic showing,

Take the win, take a bow, and move on.

Go beat the Giants

I didn't think you would call him out.
