How do you know they are a better team then the Cowboys? The game has not been played.

See the bold above? He said, no freaking excuses!
Why should we care what he said? He's not the boss here. Besides, "no excuses" is a nonsense phrase that doesn't mean anything. Saying "no excuses" has no effect on the outcome of the game or anything that happens to anybody after it.

If the Cowboys win, there will be reasons they won. If they lose, there will be reasons they lose. It's as simple as that.

"Mental toughness" is about #378 on the list of things that will determine victory Sunday. At the top are talent, scheme, matchups and luck.

I have no idea what "no excuses" is supposed to mean. I guess you mean something like "give your best effort," which, sure, of course they will.
Not sure you know what "mental toughness" is, then.

Well that's it then. We should close up shop here and go home.

It's all meaningless nonsense that has no effect on the outcome of the game or anything that happens to anybody after it. . Simple as that.

Someone posted this a while ago but I forgot. How many winning/playoff teams did the 49ers beat this year and how many did we beat? I vaguely remember we had the most wins against playoff teams throughout the season.

Exactly...like they say, man, don't hate the player, hate the game.

Huh? "No excuses" is a nonsense phrase. There's plenty of room for interesting discussion about things that are actually relevant.

Talent and scheme matchups and and coaching are all important. But it’s never enough. The history of football is littered with super talented teams that never won anything important. Mental toughness mattters a ton. In fact if you don’t have it, you won‘t win in the playoffs.

And yet somehow you fought through that and joined the discussion anyway.

I agree.
Before the game: no excuses, no blame shifting. You can't blame it on generation Z. There's no pretend victim in the NFL. You win or you lose! No participation awards.
After the game: Oh well, It sounded good at the time.

Yeah, I guess I don't have enough mental toughness to avoid it.

lmao...he said "no excuses". Please learn to read his post again.
The OP is flat wrong...that's the point. Please learn to think, and to not slavishly follow others.

We aren't going to beat the Niners and the refs, if "the refs come to play".

I don't take the NFL very seriously -- and won't until they take the integrity of the game seriously.

After watching The game against Tampa Bay over a couple times there is only one excuse and that is if our kicker just totally spits the bit like he did against the buccaneers.

We played damn close to a perfect game other than that we didn't turn the ball over we only had three penalties Dak was stellar and did what I had been begging for and using his legs which open things up in the passing game.

We pressured the quarterback shut down the run intercepted the ball on a quarterback who has the best resume in the playoffs of all time.
Really no excuse not to be able to rattle a rookie quarterback Micah doesn't have COVID this year so I am counting on a stellar performance from him to set the physical tone and hammer their quarterback.

All that said I don't feel like we are going to blow the 49ers out like we did Tampa.
It could very well be a very close game where we need our kicker and really the only excuse I can find for us losing is if he just totally loses his head again and can't kick.

It certainly isn't anything we can prepare for he gave us no forewarning that this was going to happen it just came to be Hope it's over and we don't revisit it

I mean, they’re a better and more talented team that’s my only excuse.

They should win and our favored to win. Of course I’ll be rooting like crazy.
See I don't think they are more talented than us.

At all....

They may be better though, remains to be seen.

Let’s see how good the 49ers play against a top team now. They have had a cupcake schedule easier than ours. Their secondary can be had if Dak gets the time in a clean pocket.

Well, nothing I can help you with all that excuse.
Oh, I love that word, integrity.

If we want our Cowboys to finally win a divisional round playoff game, there can be NO EXCUSES. PERIOD.
I‘m hoping this team mentally rejects all the excuses that many throw out about why we have a “disadvantage”. Here are some of the many excuses we must hope our team rejects:
  • ”They get two more days of rest”. Who cares? Just win.
  • ”On the road again this week.” Who cares? Just win.
  • ”They whipped us physically last time.” Doesn’t matter this time. Just win.
  • ”The refs (fill in the blank)…” Who cares? Overcome them. Just win.
  • “It’s a grass field.” Don’t care. Doesn’t matter. Just win.
  • ”We’re not getting respected this week.” Who cares? We haven’t earned it yet. Everyone has to respect playoff wins. Keep winning.
  • ”So and so is hurt…” Who cares? They have players out too. Just win.
  • ”We haven’t won these kind of games.” Just win this one.
Just win. Find a way. Be mentally tougher than they are. Punch then counter-punch.
If we win we its because we earned it. If they win it’s because they overcame our best shot on every single play.

NO EXCUSES. FIND A WAY. JUST WIN.
No excuse but 2 extra days rest is a pretty good advantage for the Niners.
