Yes, the playoffs are a new season, and any team can defeat any other team, and I'm hearing lots of praise for Aaron Rodgers, but ...

Last meeting on Oct 16, we won 30-16 despite the following:
  • At Lambeau field
  • Rodgers went 31-42 for almost 300 yards (how much better can he play)
  • Had Lacy running the ball 17 times for 65 yards and Montgomery...not much now
  • Had all his receivers healthy, including Cobb and Nelson
  • Completed passes to 9 different players
  • Dak only went 18-27 with an INT and lost a fumble
  • Our rookies were still slightly green on Oct 16
  • Only sacked Rodgers once at line of scrimmage, no loss.
How did we win?
  • Our defense gave up only one TD, playing tough in the red zone as they have all season.
  • Zeke ran 28 times for 158 yards, yet time of possession was still with GB slightly
  • Dak hit three TD passes
Extras?
  • We won that game without DLaw, without Mayowa, with almost nothing from Collins
  • Dez Bryant didn't even play
Despite Rodgers, most other things, including rookie experience, home field, healthy players, and a much improved D-line fall in our favor after already beating them at home when they played well.

There are no guarantees, but I like our chances, and I'm sure our players have to feel confident.

I would much rather play the Packers than the Giants. The Packers defense is suspect and they won't be able to stop the run. This current Cowboys team is hungry and I see them being extremely focused and prepared for this game.

#1 reason the Cowboys beat the Packers in that game is they forced 4 turnovers. They bad Rodgers look bad.

I think the Packers have turned it over just 1 time in the last 5 games.

I'd like to see the Cowboys force at least 2 turnovers in this game.

That game is ancient history. Also, you missed the part about GB turning the ball over 4 times in that game, which I find unlikely to happen again.

The fact is that GB is a much better team now than they were then. Losing Jordy will hurt them, home field will help us a bit, the week off and general health will help us, but this is a game that could easily go either way. I'd call it 55-45 Cowboys. But fear? You bet. I'm terrified of Rodgers just picking us apart all day long.

And no Scandrick either.

Bring it on.... Psychologically I like where we are. We beat these guys. We know we can beat them. ... We're not traveling to some mid America dump of a field where it's minus 20. We earned the #1 seed and the right to play at home. A lot of our guys don't have the seeds of past failures in their heads. I love my team.

This team is different than any we've had in the post-Aikman era.

There is a confidence about us, and who would have thought, it's mostly thanks to two rookies.

Zeke is at his best on the biggest stage. And we are going to ride him all game long. Defense just needs to hold up

Bs, this is not the GB team we faced earlier. We need to outscore them by a huge margin, our pass defense still sucks.
Our pass defense doesn't suck, not as much as GB's pass defense or their entire defense overall. Of course we need to outscore them and it may be by a huge margin but we don't NEED to. I don't care if this isn't the same GB team we faced, we aren't the same Cowboy team they face.

The Cowboys match up much better vs the Packers.

The Giants defense always has our number. I like our chances better against Green Bay.

Correction...the Cowboys match up much better vs the Packers' DEFENSE. They match up much worse against the Packers' offense.

I'd like to see the Packers win a game against a good offense. Can't recall that they have to this point. Plus the game will be in Dallas.
