He looked good getting lit up twice by a Raider. He's a bust.

At least it looks like he can blitz a little.

Exactly! It wasn;t like anyone on the D line was drawing a double team to keep the guards off Carp. The Raiders seemed to always have a spare blocker to pick him up when he blitzed. No passes were completed to his man (that I saw) and he dang near had a pick.

Had Ware and Ratliff been in there, I am sure he would have gotten through on some of the blitz's. They also moved him around a lot. He was playing some OLB in the 4-3, some Mike, some Mo, and although he did not look great against the run, who did?

What did Spencer do? Is anyone calling for him to be cut? Apply the same standards folks.

I actually saw him fight through a guard that had a straight shot at him and make a tackle to the outside. That is exactly the type of play we need to see from him and something I had not seen from him since his rookie year

He was consistently the only LB that stayed home and as such he had to deal with eating a guard with a free shot because his dline that was mediocre at best and no help from his fellow LBers not named Rogers.

He was very good in coverage and showed a good pass rush.

The more I think about it the more I think Parcells had it right with Carp at SOLB. He can handle TE in the running game, can blitz rather well and cover TEs. Brian Stewart is an absolutely horrible coach.
