I wouldnt agree with either of the statements you just made

the biggest difference is who coaches them...how anyone can argue differently I have no idea...San Diego has the best pass rushing team in the NFL, and it isnt just because of Merriman...its because of Wade Phillips

But the way the Bolts use Merriman would have been a perfect compliment to the way we use Ware now!!!

Merriman lines up on the strong side and Ware on the other!!!

Scheme is very important.

JJT and Matt Mosley has tried to explain this a million times in their articles, our schemes are not as aggressive as other 3-4 schemes.

San Diego also has better players or I should say, players that are making a difference on the line than we do in Dallas.

I agree its both the SCHEME and the SUPPORTING CAST.

Its really is tough to compare the 2 fairly.

Ware has been a triple threat guy and Merriman has been one dimensional.

I just wanted to stir the pot some.

Anyway... Merriman rushes 99% of the time which is a lot more than Ware.

Any knowledgable person knows Ware is helping the team out by defending 3 areas.

Ware is already a good player, but I agree he isn't near Merriman's level right now.

I doubt Merriman will ever be off the roids. He'll just be more careful in beating the system.

Still, I'd rather have the good, clean player in Ware than a dominating monster that could be suspended at any moment.

Its actually quite simple.

If you want the dominant - "dirty" pass rusher take Merriman.

If you want the OVERALL - "clean" player take Ware.

I pick Ware.

I said I'm happy with Ware. He's a good player. I'm also aware he's not in the same league as Merriman. It doesn't matter. Ware is a Cowboy and he has my full support. When I'm asked to compare though, I'm not going to all the sudden go blind. I call it as I see it.
