i agree.

if he plays, i think we win. if he doesn't, then no chance.

Zworden, we all know your a Romo stan, its not about the players surrounding Romo. It's only about Romo. Why are you changing your tune now? Have you finally realized Romo has shaken off the "choker" label the past few weeks?

I'm not sure many have noticed but Miles wasn't exactly killing it out there even with Dez getting ridiculous attention.

He had a solid game in week 1 but 55 yards between weeks 2 and 3 isn't getting the job done. If that kind of production can't be had from any of the other WRs on the roster behind him, those players shouldn't be on the team.

I think Dallas needs to get out of the mindset that they can't do without a specific player. Unless it's Romo/Dez/Ware, someone should be able to step up.

Tom Brady is playing with 3 rookie WRs. Someone step up and justify your roster spot.

Sure helps to have BIll Belichick. Not to take any credit away from Brady. I agree with you on Miles.

SMFH still using the oline excuse huh?

Don't shake that head to hard, you might rattle your little brain.

So, if you don't think the oline has anything to do with the Cowboy record, then answer my other question.

Would the Cowboys be undefeated if Payton was playing with the same receivers or same team that Romo plays with?

Yes, because he's a better QB and a better Coordinator than Bill Callahan. No, if he has to play Callahan football.

If we let Williams run some post routes instead of 1 yard slants, we may not miss Austin as much.

The fact that you even have to ask that question shows me how delusional you've become about Romo. Yes we would easily be undefeated and I don't say that as a slight against Romo necessarily. Peyton is just 10x better than anyone right now.

I said the "same team". You do know football is a "team" sport?

Glad to see someone else liking Williams. He showed up last game. Just made a typical rookie mistake. He'll get better.

That is all I wanted to see you say.

We've got good players. The problem is play-calling is boring and predictable on Offense and Defense is terrible. Peyton Manning would bring his brilliant play-calling with him. Which is why he would make this "team" better. I'm not saying we can't get it done with Romo. I'm saying we need better play calling to get it done with Romo. On both sides of the ball. Peyton would give you both a great QB and a great coordinator.

@5Stars look at how delusional you've become....

Well, unless Payton can play defense, no, the record may be the same or worse!

Romo's legs have bought him some time whereas Payton would have been Orange Crushed behind this line.

Would the Cowboys be undefeated if Payton was playing with the same receivers or same team that Romo plays with?

Within 5 minutes you've blamed the defense, oline, and receivers for why Peyton wouldn't have better success here. Romo stans are the best at the blame game.

Payton being the QB/coordinator was not the question.

I asked that if all things are equal, would the Cowboys be undefeated with Payton instead of Romo with this SAME team, structure and all?

More likely to me, yes.

When Peyton Manning retires, he is going to get plenty of conversation about being the best QB of all time.

So... according to some, Peyton Manning on this team would be undefeated. So... in other words, for this team to compete, it needs to have one of the best QBs of all time at the position, or we aren't competing, as evident by our 2-2 record.

So our team is being held back by the fact that we don't have arguably the greatest QB of all time? lol... no kidding.

So how do all these other teams win Super Bowls without having a top 5? 3? 1? QB of all time, I wonder....?

Look, he asked me the question. I didn't put the comparison in to play. I even stated that we can win a Super Bowl with Tony. I stated Tony is not the problem. Not Tony sucks and Manning would be 4-0. Manning still only has one Super Bowl ring. Proof that no matter how many W's during the season you have and how great one player is, you need a team to win the big games. When you get to the playoffs, you're obviously facing the best. That wasn't the question. The question was would we more likely be 4-0 right now with Manning. Yes, yes we would because he's that good. Our defense is close to dead last against the pass. That is our biggest problem. We're 10th in scoring. That's more than enough to win but, not when your coverage is this bad.

I don't care how ugly the journey is to the playoffs, I just want us to get there and I want to see this defense live up to it's capabilities.

Williams will be fine as the #2 WR tomorrow. Miles obviously will be missed but our WRs won't be the reason the Cowboys lose tomorrow. I actually think Romo has 300+ yds and 2 TDs...

Good question? I mean, the other 52 guys on the team are doing their job.

If Payton was the Cowboys QB, the running game would be in the top five, the defense would be in the top five, the fumbles would not happen, the drops by the receivers would not happen, the kicker would not miss a field goal, the coach would not call for a 56 yard field goal, the injuries would be a thing of the past, and the oline and dline would be as dominant as something the NFL has never seen before!

If only we had Payton.

I think the Cowboys would be undefeated if they had Sean Payton...quite easily undefeated actually.
