No More Mr. Nice Guy!

He had the 2nd most snaps on that defensive line and plays 3 tech and end for them.

And was mediocre at both. And got you 5.5 sacks with those "2nd most snaps". An indictment, not a positive.

Whether you like him or not....

It has nothing to do with me "liking him or not". My emotions aren't involved, it's about return on investment and what's best for the team. You should try to do the same.

he's a starter here and he was worth his money.

No and no. But you go ahead and keep saying it.

I can't believe with all the crap on this team......Crawford is the one you are focusing on lol.

In between your schoolgirl "lol's", go back and reread this thread's original post, as many times as you need to in order to get it right. Nobody ever "focused" on Crawford.

Well,STASHEROONIE,
whudda' you say about you& me placing a season long signature tag line loser bet that states :
" those dingleberrys in my beard are because I only groove to the face first sniffing of funky butts" should the #38 NOT be resigned in 2020(dude is due 2 mil for '19' +1/2million in incentive bonus/ cap hit is of around 3mil)

,,,and while my viewed opinion for the future impactful playing time the #50 STILL COMMANDS,could be considered optimistic by most,,,er,,,and,,,while some of his playing time in '18' was somewhat less than impactful, nevertheless, his 7 mil salary for this upcoming '19' season was hard fought for/well deserved, thru his exemplary&stalwartly stiff style of FOOTBALLISH play of the not so distant past(dude is a 10 million cap hit,Tooo_O)

#betmestash :lmao:

Dishing out a bunch of likes in this thread. Crawford is so underappreciated.

And again, for people who say he's overpaid: how much DT will $8 million buy you nowadays? I don't think his deal is that out of line any more.

The reason "nice guys" stay on the team is because we don't have better players than them. I'm all for getting better players than them, but that either takes draft capital or free agency.

Heath is a good backup, quality special-teammer who is starting because our only other option was Kavon Frazier or diving into free agency for a starter. (We tried to trade for Thomas, so obviously we're willing to replace him if the opportunity is right.)

Lee is a high-quality player when healthy. He lost his job because he can't stay healthy. I think it would be great to have a third high-quality linebacker we could put out on the field at the same time as the other two while limiting his snaps some, but Dallas doesn't seem to have a plan for using all three at the same time, so I can't see him sticking at his salary cost.

Crawford is our second-best defensive lineman with Gregory and Irving not available. He's a better interior pass rusher than Collins, who has his own health troubles, and Woods (or any of the other DTs) and he plays end against the run better than Charlton at this point. Like the other players, he isn't here because he's a "nice guy."

Apparently an $8 million DT and a DE people want to give at least twice as much aren't enough to hold the Rams under 250 rushing yards, or lay a hand on Goff.

It helps when the opposing coaches don't know exactly where your entire D line is going on every snap.

Good player with a very bad contract. Obscures the fact he's a steady and reliable player.
His contract is pretty much in line with his production these days! If he was playing the left side I'm thinking most fan bases would be perfectly happy with his play, contract and leadership!

Yes, yes I do. Because that's exactly how it reads when someone uses them.
That’s exactly how you read it when you see them lol. You think about school girls when you see “lol”? That’s what I mean by you are better than that....or I thought you were anyway.

$8 million got the Vikings Sheldon Richardson, a defensive tackle who does have a true starting position. A former first round pick and Pro Bowl talent. That's what they got for $8 million.

The Atlanta Falcons got better production from former Cowboy Jack Crawford, at 1/3 of what the Cowboys paid Tyrone Crawford.

Honestly, if you look around, it's easy to see how much better you can do for $8 million.
