No Nick Chubb for the Browns against Dallas in week 1

I drafted him late in fantasy hoping for a late season return

Wouldn't count on it. 3 ligaments were torn and it requires two surgeries. Even if he could play he won't be himself until year two from injury. Javonte Williams had same injury and wasn't much last year.

However, the Browns activated both original starting OT's. They were both recovering from injuries sustained in the 2023 season.

The Browns will try to have them ready to pair up with their two Pro Bowl guards and veteran Center.

On the other hand, Chubb isn't their only injured RB. Ford may just be their only healthy veteran RB. Strong and Foreman are questionable.

Very Very unlikely.Browns are down 4,yes 4 OLs they "medically cleared" both tackles today,but that doesn't mean they can play or be effective.
The QB had mysterious arm soreness last week,a new offensive coordinator and system he's never played in, and was a late scratch for their 3rd pre-season game.
No Chubb.

I’ll be surprised if he ever returns to form after that injury. After they lost him to injury in 2020 against us early in the game the Browns still put up over 300 yards on the ground. They might’ve put up close to 400 yards had he not been injured because he was off to a great start. Can’t remember us ever getting destroyed on the ground like we did that day.

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb will start the 2024 season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, triggering an automatic four-game absence, a league source told UPI on Monday.

Chubb totaled 170 yards on 28 carries through the first two games of last season. The four-time Pro Bowl selection sustained a season-ending left knee injury in Week 2. He had several surgeries last year to repair the knee.

With Chubb now out for at least four games, the Browns will enter the 2024 season with Jerome Ford atop their depth chart at running back. Pierre Strong Jr., and D'Onta Foreman are among their other healthy running backs.

Chubb totaled a career-high 1,525 yards and 12 scores on 302 carries over 17 starts in 2022. He averaged at least 1,200 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns per year from 2019 through 2022.

Ford totaled 1,132 yards from scrimmage and nine scores over 17 appearances last season. He made 12 starts. He joined the Browns as a fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
