No one in the NFC has more than 5 wins

Man, if we had closed out those 2 games against Washington and Seattle, we would easily make the playoffs.... :banghead:

I have a bad feeling those losses will haunt us

Yeah, if for no other reason Nors will continue to make threads about them and bring back old threads.

:scram:

Watching this team is hazerdous to my health. Feels good to know that we have a real shot at beating any team on our remaining schedule.

NFC Teams in playoffs

Dallas
NY Giants
Seattle
Chicago
Carolina
Atlanta

Obviously Seattle and Chicago are division winners in this scenario.
Im not sure who wins our division, its gonna be close, but cowboys and giants will be the NFC east teams.

Detroit
Denver

Kansas City

NY is in a very good position, but I feel really good about the next few games.

We're at Philly with 2 weeks + 1 day of rest. Unless we forget how to play football, we should be really rested and well prepared for that game. Philly will be coming off a game at FedEx on Sunday night. Teams have put up a lot of points on them. I feel like that game has a lot of factors pointing in our favor.

Follow that up with Detroit in Dallas. They're playing atrocious ball right now, regardless of who is playing QB for them.

Then we've got Denver in Dallas on Thanksgiving. Not a bad team, but at home on a short week. Again, lot of things point in our favor.

This is all assuming Henry is alright.

Tampa Bay is plummeting fast. They were overrated WITH Griese... with Simms, they could be downright rancid.

With the exception of one great catch and run by Galloway, Simms sucked it up bigtime today.

Carolina is for real, they're the team I fear most in the NFC.

Seattle and the Giants are two teams we don't want to play on the road in the playoffs. Both teams play much better on their own turf.

The Eagles will not make the playoffs. And I'm not just saying that. I just talked with one of my friends who is a huge Eagles fan, and he agrees... this team is on the edge of collapse.

We beat the Giants and the Skins in their stadiums and the NFC East is OURS!!!

Am I the only one who has absolutely NO fear of Carolina? I just don't think they're that good.

Steve Smith is clearly the best receiver in football THIS YEAR.

Delhomme runs that offense very well.

If their RB's are healthy, they have quite a two-headed monster.

And their Defense is good, although they've been underperforming so far.

Don't get me wrong, I think we could beat them, but I think they're the #1 competition.

call me crazy but i like our chances on the road against our divisional rivals, we clearly dominated all 3 of them the first time around, and yes i know the Skins won, and the Giants took us to OT, but i feel like we were the better team throughout all 3 of those games, and still do.

Easily 5 W's in there. We win all 4 home games and at least 2 road games. Wash got greatly exposed today and Filthy looks about done. Caroline runs hot and cold and can be beaten.

Our defense will keep us in every single game. Factor is which offense will show up :(

As long as our defense keeps holding teams to 10-13 points a game, we have a shot of winning the division. I think JJ will be back with a vengeance and suddenly we'll have the best 1-2 punch in the NFC. Bledsoe is doing a great job of spreading the ball around and now Price is getting in the mix too. We lost three close games by a combined 10 points. I'm confident, that we control our own destiny from here on out. If we lose any more games this year, it's only because we beat ourselves IMO.

Now, we've just seen a game with no penalties in it?

Wow!

We are so close to putting it all together.

I agree.....we're very close....

And we've seen what this team can do if everything clicks. We've put it all together vs the Eagles and the Cards. Ok, the Cards......yeah, we should've won that one big.

The key is to string games like that together. I really want to see if we can do that.

So far, we've followed strong outings with weak ones.

Our schedual is going to be very hard I'll say that much.

The only sure wins are the Lions, Commanders and the Rams.

All the others will be hard fought.

Isn't it nice to be watching games with some real meaning again. I mean, we aren't going into this season with blind hope. I love it. It's so gut wrenching, but its so much more fun than having a cakewalk season. Im having the most fun/trouble watching this team play than I really ever have.

10-6 will do it in a close race. When all the teams are close, they beat eachother so their records approach 8-8. Normally you have some teams run away with it, teams that would be 7-1 or even 8-0 right now (and having beaten us so they'd have head to head).

Turns out the key games are the ones we already played: we need to go 2-1 in the division games and we're in.
