since the top 2 Qbs are off the board and we can't can't reach for one at 4 why not surround Romo with some young talent?
Don't we owe it to him? The man took beatings year after year due to lack of talent along the oline. Why can't we give him some shinny, new, talented weapons. I wouldn't be mad one bit if we took Zeke at 4 and drafted a talented WR in the second. I think we owe it to him to give him a shot to win it all within these next 3 years.
Let's face it, a stud corner or DE isn't going to take pressure off of Romo.

Romo has the best OL in football, 4 All-Pros and good backups. room has Dez and Witten. Romo has decent Rbs to get the job done.

The Cowboys owe Romo nothing. He has been paid well and has had the talent around him to win.

Dez yes. Witten is getting old and is not much of a weapon at all. Mc chicken a street free agent and a guy coming off a blown knee isn't what I would call decent.
How do you guys expect to beat Seattle or Carolina with no offense? Look at what Carolina did to us on thanksgiving with decent running backs? What did we do in Seattle two years ago with a real running back?

Building a defense so Romo doesn't have to score 35 a game might take some pressure off.

How about by getting 3 and outs and turnovers and giving him short fields.

The Cowboys can get by with "good" backs; which is what they have in McFadden and Morris.

But Elliott is a "special" back. The Cowboys were awful on 3rd and short last year. Best way to improve the defense is keep it off the field. It worked in 2014 with Murray. With Elliott in the backfield, we can use Morris as a relief man and McFadden as the 3rd down back....assuming Zeke ever has to come off the field.

To me, a defensive player is a "need" pick. Elliott would be an "impact" pick.

Sorry but Elliot ain't done nothing "special". College ball ain't the same. The spread offense inflates QB, WR and RB Stats.
