No real fan will use the refs as an excuse...

The Cowboys played like crap last night. It is very simple. I have read several threads were people are crying about the officiating. Those same people never admit when we get the breaks. The cowboys played crappy football in all three areas. Time of possession is what killed us in the end.

I do not blame Tony. He did what he could. Other teams overcome injuries and we should be able to also. I have been hard on the RW bashers, but it is time to make him a #3 for a couple of games. He will fold or step up. Best we know for sure what we have before the real challenges in make or break games come up.

Still a believer but very disappointed this morning. This was the worst game we have played in a long time.

The refs arent the reason we lost but they did put us away at the end.

I also didn't like the Jenkins hands to the face call when Scandrick knocked Rogers silly.

With that said I don't think we played bad in all 3 phases but I do think our offense was terrible/owned yesterday.

Our defense held on as long as they could and I see a unit that keeps getting better every week.

I don't blame the refs even though there were some calls I disagreed with, bottom line is Dallas poor play put those calls in the hands of the refs.

i wouldn't necessarilly say people have been blaming the refs. they were pretty horrendous and theres no getting away from that but if we had played to potential then i think we would have been able to overcome that. truth is as you rightly said we played like ****e and ultimately that cost us more than any bad decision from the officials.

I keep hearing this but it doesn't make any sense to me. Unless one subscribes to the belief that turnovers don't impact the outcome of a game, the officials giving the ball to the other team impacts the game.

As long as we win the next 2 than its all good and it may actually put more of a chip on our shoulders going into the Giants game.

Philly losing really gave us a mulligan.

We are still in 1st place in the div.

Had Dallas not fumbled the ball to begin it would not have been put into the hands of the refs. Refs did not give the ball to the Packers, Dallas did

As I said in another thread:

Not to single you out as if you said something wrong, but I just don't believe this anymore.

There is never a single reason a team loses, but when the refs keep ***** things up, causing seven point swings, calling penalties as one sided as they were yesterday in critical situations, then yes it is a reason why we lost, and a significant one.

Not calling holding when a team is doing it practically every long gain or run is ridiculous.

In a league of parity, where the talent levels between teams isn't that different, minor f-ups can lead to major effects down the road. There is a theory about this called "The Buttefly Effect", and I bet it is somehow possibly applicable to NFL games.

I respectfully disagree... the zebras hurt us by making poor calls on two occasions that could have made the difference in the game. While I don't generally agree with BSPN, their article on this particular matter should be read as it makes sense.

While they (refs) didnt cause the fumble, our guy clearly recovered the ball, and refs made the wrong call and then stated it couldnt be reviewed. So yeah, they gave them the ball.

Our offense played like garbage yesterday and the OL was the biggest reason we lost, but you still cant discount the impact the officials had on the game. They had a big impact and the officiating was incredibly one sided.

I understand that but when you put plays into the hands of the refs then you take a risk. The play was not reviewable that is what they were told from the replay booth but had our guys did their job to begin with this situations does not take place. I put the blame on our guys 1st and foremost, we allowed the blitzer in who blindsided Romo causing the fumble

Green Bay 17-
Dallas - 7.

Doesn't change anything to ***** about it.

Green Bay beat Dallas yesterday, all be themselves. The Green Bay Packers DEFENSE made the plays that their offense needed them to make.

Dallas's defense played a good game as well. And losing two starters on defense? As well as Ball? LOL, come on now. They were still playing well aside from Scandrick, who single handedly extended Green Bay's drive that resulted in a TD.

I sure hope Hamlin isn't out for a long time. All those Hamlin haters are gonna be pleading and praying him back. lol

Take off your homer glasses and stop blaming other for our team's horrible showing.

Dallas 10 penalties for 67 yards
Green Bay 12 penalties for 102 yards.
Most of which was in the first half.

So the refs told Dallas not to block and to drop balls and call stupid plays? They forced us to not take advantage of mistakes by GB? Get over it.

the ref started to call it down, then didn't (probably thinking about replay) then he got ran over and knocked down and had no idea what was going on.

Well, I consider myself a "real" fan and the officiating yesterday was horrific. I wouldn't allow that crew to officiate a dog show.

With that said, it's not the reason we lost the game. It is however the reason the Packers got one of their touchdowns after the Romo fumble.
